Sunday means continuing growing as we reach a new milestone with 43,5m CCU and new In-game record with 14,463,000 (+120k from yesterday) which is a steady change. While I described the new CCU peak as a small step, this is +700k users connected, which is stunning. Unsure why this sudden boost up.

Small surpass for platform's CCU peak after 6 months with +100k additional users but also a new all-time max for in-game users with 14,343,188 (previous top was 13,935,053 back in July 2026) so small steps but it's growing at steady rate.

At last I got back the non digital pictures I took with a different camera and the grain and vibe from them is absolutely amazing. I think from now on I will take with me this kind of camera, it complements well the set. The first picture is the only one I got from Panorama building btw.

As it was expected, this week the CCU peak was surpassed once again as we enter the spring holidays and eastern season in some places. Over +300k increase in just one week while In-game got close to it's max peak once again. Platform growth continues in a steady way.

Spring just arrived and with it a new CCU peak for the Steam platform going from 42,042,778 to 42,318,602 concurrent users, and not only that but also a new in-game CCU peak with 13,819,439 from 13,399,958 in January 2026. The platform continues to grow at a steady rate.

I thought it would be nice to share at least some positive stuff I experienced and loved. Guidance was great, food was amazing, people were heartwarming and the places I visited transported me to an ancient era I have read about A LOT. Couldn't be happier with this trip, one I will never forget.

Similarly to last year, 2 consecutive CCU peak records have happened almost together. The platform has officially reached the 42 million mark with 42,042,778 concurrent users. Additionally, the In-game peak also changed during last week and now sits at 13,399,958 so slightly over the reported one.

Last time we saw a new platform CCU peak was 2 months ago with 41,66 million concurrent users. Now that record has been surpassed once again reaching 41,81 million concurrent users. Not only that but also we just saw a new In-game CCU with 13,396,458 vs 13,194,690 from March '25.

It took 6 months to surpass the previous top platform CCU peak but here we are with 41,66 million concurrent users versus 41,24 million from March. It's currently a strong season of big new releases and evergreen ones. In-game CCU stays the same as last time. Steam keeps growing at a steady pace.

A small bit we added to this week's free newsletter is how Stellar Blade did CCU wise compared to the rest of the PlayStation published titles on Steam. Stellar Blade had a CCU peak 149% higher than Ghost of Tsushima becoming their biggest Single Player debut with almost 192,100 concurrent users.

TLOU 2 remastered reached its max CCU peak during the weekend becoming the 9th best debut CCU wise with 30,690 concurrent users. While slightly behind God of War Ragnarok and TLOU Pt1 (35,6k & 36.4k respectively) We estimate that CCU peak represents around 10-15%* of W1 sales for PS games on Steam.

22nd Banner, Assassin's Creed Shadows available now, animated one, this is the first big day and date release for Ubisoft on Steam and it smashed all the previous games from its saga, the reception has been positive so far so it will be interesting to see how it performs.

Not only that but Atelier Yumia also surprised us all with a really great debut for the saga on Steam. The game became the biggest Atelier debut on the platform in terms of CCU (which wasn't too high but Ryza was decent) and also became the 6th best debut for Koei Tecmo. Still a long way to go.

Assassin's Creed Shadows had a really strong debut on Steam as the first big day and date release since 2019 becoming not only the biggest Assassin's Creed debut CCU wise but also 5th biggest overall debut on the platform. As you can see, there was a big dip in numbers with non-day and date.

As expected, today's CCU peak for Steam was even higher going from 40,48 million to 41,24 million concurrent users. Additionally, the max In-Game peak was also surpassed going from 13 million to almost 13,2 million players. As you can see, growth is steady.

Surprisingly, Steam got a new all-time CCU peak going from 40,27 to 40,48 million concurrent users ON A SATURDAY (CCU peaks tend to happen during Sundays). This happens while the spring sale is on-going and quite a lot of games are getting new all-time peaks due discounts.

Split Fiction became not only the biggest Hazelight Studios / Fares games by a huge margin (+364,59% higher than It Takes Two) but also the biggest premium EA release on the platform surpassing all FIFA/FC and Battlefield titles ever released. Keep in mind EA came back to Steam in 2019.
