;-; I'm ugly crying, thank u aah

Mortior @mortior.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

I sorta let myself go, ignoring any thoughts of the finished fic/""product"" and just writing for the sake of it as a creative outlet. Not sure if I'll do it that way again tbh, because it's caused some pacing and density issues that I need to go back and fix :,)

Mortior @mortior.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

I will need to apologize for how long this next WRBD "oneshot" has gotten. It'll be about half the length of the main fic when it's finished, and will be split into 8 chapters (the first 7 of which were supposed to just be chapter 1). I'm currently working on chapter 8.

Mortior @mortior.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

I made an attempt at this in my most recent fic and still had to gloss over the actual conversation itself / have it not be word-for-word dialogue the whole time, even though it was very much written to be sexy and flirtatious overall, because yeahh 😭

Mortior @mortior.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

Decided to write a few down because they're weird/funny sometimes: "Where farmers hit, that's just money." "A perfect man, both of you -- like a shirt." "Sorry, let me say it with you: Dungeon!" (Sarcastically) "A medium place, all right." (Pronounced like anecdotal) "Anec-DOLLAR!"

Part 2 will be posted tomorrow, while part 3 and 4 won't be posted for a while bc I'm not done with them yet. :,D I wanted to post the fluff before we get to the angst, because I've decided to write MAXIMUM ANGST and explore all the background plot stuff that wasn't fully explored in the main fic.

Aah you know what, I'll post the first two this weekend. (They're technically a pair, and the other two are standalone.)

I forgot my all-time favorite: Tails Adventure. Last night was definitely a mashup.

Mortior @mortior.bsky.social · 09/07/2026

Oh yeah nah, I fell asleep to Sonic Chaos & Triple Trouble, and woke up to, idk, not 'boss music' but 'final level' music for sure. (I think Sonic Drift 2 was the other one I played nonstop as a kid.)

110

Mortior @mortior.bsky.social · 09/07/2026

Then, there's 'walking through a crowded room and hearing snippets of a hundred different conversations, only catching a few words or phrases at a time, in different voices I don't recognize, all talking about different things,' which is a little too interesting and not as easy to fall asleep to.

Mortior @mortior.bsky.social · 09/07/2026

I really lucked out with mine. When it's not classic/90's video game music, it's usually rain, large appliances like the dishwasher or dryer, or carnival music, but it's always nice to fall asleep to (except the carnival music is a little weird).

Mortior @mortior.bsky.social · 09/07/2026

With full honesty, I love that my auditory hallucinations are sometimes the music and sound effects from the classic Sonic games I grew up playing. It's like my old Game Gear is tucked under my pillow with the volume low. =u=

#DDSonic26 day 7 I didn't actually do the other days bc I just learned about DD Week yesterday, but I did write a #Sonadow A/B/O (A!Shadow x O!Sonic) mutual non/dub-con ficlet with forced breeding. This was a joy to write but a capital-B to tag, I tell you what. archiveofourown.org/works/88147391

Now let's see if I can pull this off without sharing the ABO worldbuilding document I wrote that is already three pages long and not finished yet. :,,,)

Mortior @mortior.bsky.social · 07/07/2026

Gonna try to squeeze in a last-minute DDweek ficlet today: Sonadow ABO double-noncon, vaguely set in a military base somewhere, idk lol. I want to write short pwps like I used to, but they don't always stay short, and my list of long-term projects is always getting longer. ;-;

Something else they don't tell you, is how writing 24/7 will cause your dreams to become writing -- not even sitting and typing at a computer, but just sentences and words and editing the text. I enjoy doing it when I'm awake, yeah, but a break would be nice. e-e

Mortior @mortior.bsky.social · 24/06/2026

Also, not trying to stroke my own ego or anything. I would absolutely fail and/or be miserable as a professional writer for multiple reasons.

000

Mortior @mortior.bsky.social · 24/06/2026

. . . with exceptions, ofc. (I haven't watched a lot in recent years, but The Backrooms, Sinners, and Invincible were all 💯)

100

Mortior @mortior.bsky.social · 24/06/2026

I feel like I'm missing out on a lot, but it's hard to consume media when all I want is to write my own stories 24/7. When I watch movies or shows these days, I just get frustrated at the writing/plot and spend the entire runtime rewriting it in my head.

I've been off socials for a while but it's bc I'm cooking up something nice for y'all (i.e., a series of post-fic "one shots" for White Roses, Black Doves that has turned into multi-chapter, 20-60k stories covering the next year of their relationship).

Was not expecting The Backrooms movie to be THAT GOOD. (You can tell it's well-written when the characters are the most memorable part of a horror film, like in Sinners).

I know it's not the same but my fics become horrible and unreadable to me about 1-2 weeks after I post them, and then it takes up to 1 year before I can enjoy re-reading them without the urge to delete or edit everything into oblivion :,3
