iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

That thread I made about how many shits you have to manage in drawing isn’t meant to be discouraging or self doubting, just to be clear. I of course want to be better at drawing and try to be all the time. But I do also love my art. I have to. This isnt a thing you can do while being your own enemy.

And it just goes on like that forever and ever, until you give up and just draw whatever you want however you want using like maybe 50-60% of your full skillset at any given time then you can be satisfied with your work for like…couple months before effortmaxxing comes back lol.

Solved all of that? Congrats. Lets go back to color. You’re using default colors not more interesting colors that utilize color theory. Solved that? Unfortunately for you, your composition is now too boring. Solved that? What story does this tell? Can this illustration really evoke feelings?

Drawing is a uniquely challenging craft because its one of those things where there is somehow ALWAYS something “wrong” or “hurting” your piece. Color, line, light, perspective, anatomy all good? Congrats. Your pose is boring, lacks flow, lacks weight, unclear line of action. Also too symmetrical.

I was not prepared for how good Ghost Trick is, holy shit!!! For years people have been hitting the Maya Fey pose then saying “you should play Ghost Trick.” Every single one of you was right this game is a life changer, all timer.

There are MANY more games that I think changed me and affected me and a lot of titles I consider absolute all timers that I haven’t included here. For now these are #my9games

Mitsuru by the water 🌊 🩷

Character art painting of Mitsuru Kirijo from Persona 3 Reload (ペルソナ3) in her beach outfit, which includes a white bikini, white tie-up cover up skirt, and pink flower. The ocean/waves and a large cloud are behind her. She gazes thoughtfully into the distance. The lighting is almost golden hour/early evening and makes her look golden.

Lmao got the UCPhD for good reasons, I see.

Heres the thing Fuck You notwithstanding all the Gundams have Zetaface for one and also Brave Cod for another. Also Deep Striker.

Gunpla modeler was telling a group of us on Skype way back how much he loved G Wing, then jokingly saying something like “UC purists always say increasingly more obscure series as their faves.” Asked what our faves are. Me: “Sentinel, its like a light novel.” He said “…Fuck you” lmfao. Deserved it

I know this is old but I came across in the top Ace Attorney posts and immediately was like THATS ALLISON. This is so good!!!
