Going to be taking a step back from the @theixbasketball.bsky.social Phoenix Mercury beat. Will still have a story coming out next week but follow @kgier.bsky.social for in-depth coverage for the time being. Working 4 jobs at this point in my career is unrealistic and I have to take care of myself.

Mercury lose this one 83-61. They fall to 21-14 on the season. However, the bigger story is Kahleah Copper’s rib injury. Phoenix is back at it tomorrow at PHX Arena against Golden State. #WNBA @theixbasketball.bsky.social

DeWanna Bonner is the last active player in the W who played in the 2000s and is celebrating her 38th birthday today. However, she gives better effort than some players a decade younger than her. I’ve been really impressed. #WNBA @theixbasketball.bsky.social

The Mercury, who are not missing a single player, trail the heavily depleted Valkyries 59-47 at the half. The Mercury are losing the rebounding battle 19-13. I just don’t understand why Kalani Brown is not getting any playing time. #WNBA @theixbasketball.bsky.social
