Ultrawide with the Survival of the Wild mod (adds survival elements like temp and food requirements + no fast travel + equitable lanterns) has been a delightful way to revisit The Legend of Zelda BOTW. See alt text for the mod features.

Current Features of the mod...

• Wearable Lantern

• Darker Nights & Brighter Lights (Graphical Overhaul, not a clarity preset)

• 5x weapon durability

• Tougher Trees and Ore

• Disabled Fast Travel

• Higher Field of View

• Adds Depth of Field

• Disabled sleeping at fires: (Hero Mode ONLY)

• Minimalistic UI.

• Some new background music to match the darker atmosphere.

• SOTW has it's own Clarity preset for Cemu, just download the latest graphics packs in the Cemu Graphics packs tab and it should be in Clarity by default.

• Hunger System. (see below for details)

• Survival style inventory management.

• Added new health potions to the game to balance the difficulty a bit. (Red Potions)

• A new hidden boss enemy that drops unique loot.

• Light sources such as offhand torches, a lantern and a backpack with a lantern attached

• graphical improvements such as darker nights and shrines, enhanced god rays, depth of field, a higher field of view, more realistic looking atmosphere. (this is all done through game files not a clarity preset or any other artificial way)

• Harsher weather and climates, more windy, colder at night etc etc

• Pitch Black nights and shrines (Hero Mode ONLY)

• Much less overall food just laying around the over world. (Hero Mode ONLY)

• Adds a portable crafting system, just break a bundle of wood and pick up the crafting bench and throw it or place it on the ground to use it. Animals drop animal hides, plants drop plant fiber to use to make a bunch of differnt things! Armors, weapons, a portable tent, a portable cooking pot, a lantern, custom weapons...

Desk tidying day ^_^

Corner desk setup with dual monitors. Hi PNWers, Please remember to kill brown marmorated stink bugs (BMSB) on sight. DO NOT relocate. KILL. They are an invasive species that is doing tremendous ecological damage. If you wish to avoid the stench, knock them in a cup full of soapy water to kill them.

The Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (BMSB) is shield-shaped, around 1.7 cm long, with a mottled brownish-grey body. It has a small head with large eyes and long antennae featuring light and dark bands. The thorax has a saw-tooth pattern on the edges, and it possesses two pairs of wings, with the outer pair being hard. It has six robust legs and releases a strong odor when threatened. Nymphs are smaller and often bright red or orange with black markings. White bands on the antennae and legs help distinguish it from other stink bugs.
