Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 08/09/2026We work with @takethis.org for both our quiet room and to help train Enforcers! They're a phenomenal organization. 131
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 02/09/2026I think the effect is really neat, but the process and infrastructure behind being able to make the effects and do them consistently is really fascinating! 010
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 02/09/2026Space Mountain with the lights on is both so cool and a little terrifying, seeing how tightly wound everything is 130
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 02/09/2026So, they're still under dirt and fully enclosed, a level below the park you're walking through. There's actually a subtle grade as you walk up Main Street towards the castle. No loading docks, really, big deliveries go elsewhere on property and smaller trucks take loads to the park itself. 060
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 02/09/2026Yup! I grew up in SoCal and remember going to the first incarnation of DCA, but work at WDW these days. 020
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 02/09/2026The tunnels (Utilidoors, because they actually aren't underground - they were built first, then the dirt from excavating the lagoon was packed around them and Magic Kingdom was built on top) are both bigger and smaller than you'd expect. And very full of offices and storage. 1101
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 02/09/2026One of my favorite bits of WDW trivia is that the facade for Tower of Terror looks the way it does because you can see it from the bridge near China in Epcot, over the Moroccan skyline. So they designed it to fit in with that set of architecture so it would blend in. 140
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 02/09/2026I work in Entertainment Tech for The Mouse, and it's both every backstage I've ever been in and a giant corporate behemoth. But it's still delightfully surreal to get to be involved with putting on the show. 040
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 01/09/2026Using yours made me wish I had the counter space for one! 010
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 26/08/2026My copy showed up yesterday, and I kept getting distracted at work because I wanted to read another chapter. Then when I got home, I just sat with a cat in my lap and finished it. Everything I was hoping for (and I'm SO happy to hear the next one isn't another five years away)! 030
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 13/08/2026Maybe teacher/school supplies? I remember assorted stickers being a thing at an educational store I went to when I was much younger. 000
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 12/08/2026It looks like there's still a few locations, though, and they look delicious 000
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 12/08/2026Okay, but I'm going to be in London later this year, and am now curious what your favorite spaghetti place is! 110
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 20/07/2026Every once in a while, I'll get an actor-warmup tongue twister stuck in my head head, which makes an odd sort of earworm. Currently running around in circles is "What a to do to die today at a minute or two til two, a thing distinctly hard to say, but harder still to do" 020
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 22/06/2026Oooh, I hadn't known this was playing! Now I have a ticket....sadly solo, because my partner will be at work. 010
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 11/06/2026Loom in the context of software will forever be the LucasArts game for me 140
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 31/05/2026I had somehow missed that you had a new Paksworld book on the horizon, and I'm delighted to hear it! I shall have to do a pre-order when such become availabl. 010
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 10/05/2026Especially when you're dealing with antiques. You have to be able to test everything very carefully before you can put it under pressure. 010
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 10/05/2026It's a very cool collection! Everything is from the 1940s or earlier, and it all works, even the trolly from 1920. He does the repairs himself if needed. There's a couple trains he won't run - the ones that are actually steam powered and the one that runs on a 120v rail. 120
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 10/05/2026Which is kind of the opposite of what you asked - I blame lack of coffee. But yes, I've also seen people that just model dioramas with incredible detail 010
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 10/05/2026My FIL has a very extensive model train setup (all pre-WWII), and zero modelling. His layout concept is basically that it's what a (very wealthy) kid would be able to do at home when they'd have to clean it up for dinner - everything is a manufactured set piece 220
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 17/04/2026We've got a full set in my household, too! Hob is signed to my partner, who also used one of your messenger bags as his primary carrying thing until it literally fell apart (after many years of daily use). 110
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 13/04/2026I can fit my entire Kindle in a cargo pocket - these might be a different model, though, because the pockets have zippers not flaps 010
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 13/04/2026I never bothered even trying on the women's style. The legs are also a much slimmer fit, for a job that is frequently quite physical. 120
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 13/04/2026The company I work for provides our work clothing, but for my particular role, they aren't anything special - just Dickie's 100% cotton cargo work pants. Someone I work with was amazed when she finally tried the Men's pants and the pockets were SO MUCH BETTER! She's been raving about it for a week. 220
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 06/03/2026Often referred to as Madam Aisha the Glorious, for obvious reasons. She is also very much the hunter of our pair. 020
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 06/03/2026Outlaw Star is one of those shows where I've always wanted to know WAY more about the universe its set in than they tell us. There's obviously a ton of lore out there, and they didn't have time to delve into it! 1200
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 15/02/2026I love this movie a lot. My 16th birthday present was a pair of movie posters for it, framed, and a Press kid from the original release. The sound track is fantastic, and also a time capsule of how it felt to be a teenage girl in that era. 000
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 12/02/2026I found someone that has made a launcher skin for Android that's Okudagrams. I installed it to play with and have found that I genuinely like it better. 000
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 05/01/2026I would love to see a modern remaster of Loom, it was such a good game 010
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 21/12/2025My partner works on Fantasmic at Disney World, and that scene of Chernabog is part of the video. The tech crew has a bunch of standard responses/lines to the show (a la Rocky Horror), and the one for that bit is "Look at my naaaaaaiiiiiillllls" 010
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 18/08/2025One of the things I'm very grateful for about my parents is that they both made things as hobbies (fiber crafts and woodworking, primarily), so I grew up with an intrinsic awareness that *people* make things. 020
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 10/08/2025The concept of a hall pass list has always seemed kinda weird and creepy. The closest I've gotten is "I would love to work with/get a drink with <person>, they seem nifty" (but I've also been backstage in live entertainment for 20+ years) 020
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 04/08/2025There is still a museum of that name in NYC, I don't know if they were related (but the NYC one is fantastic!) 000
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 03/08/2025I miss doing it, and playing in general, but I've been struggling with bandwidth 010
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 18/06/2025Totally fair! It's by far the best Windows email client I'm aware of 000
Mori-neko @morineko.bsky.social · 18/06/2025They look pretty similar to the Kenzie sandals as well - www.ebay.com/itm/19708173... though I'm not sure those have the velcroebay.comPardon Our Interruption...eBay Home 010
