An image showing a rainbow and a heart in the trans flag colors, along with 4 upraised fists. The text says

Why would trans women fight so hard to be seen as women, in a world that treats women so poorly, unless they simply are women?

Being LIberal

If baking a cake for a gay wedding is endorsing homosexuality, then voting for a pedophile is endorsing pedophilia.

Calling trans people “valid” is not enough.
Trans people need healthcare. Housing.
Employment. Legal protection. Financial
resources. Safety from acts of violence.
With all that trans people are up against
currently, concrete action is needed, not
mere platitudes or words of affirmation.

Given the number of scientists on the spectrum, it is more likely that autism causes vaccines than the ignorance of vice versa.

"Pretransition, repressed trans woman" is so often framed as a
position of "basically a man, therefore relatively privileged” and let's be
clear: No. Fuck no.
What you're actually looking at there is someone who is, or has been,
noticeably queer to others. She's been, or is being, subjected to
queerphobic abuse mechanisms from society, and that is likely to be a
significant component of why she's repressing in the first place.
Then, the denial of the fact of her identity means that she has no tools
to understand why this abuse happens. She might think this is just
normal stuff men should put up with, even as she is being treated
worse than the actual men around her, and so put the blame on
herself for failing to deal with it. She might think she’s a uniquely
inexplicable failure, too "straight" to be gay and too gay to be straight.
This is not a position of privilege, it's a fucking cage.

This is essential to understand when you look at claims about trans
women's experiences with various types of violence.
Trans women are a demographic subjected to queerphobic misogyny,
who are systematically denied access to understanding of that
misogyny. This means reporting bias. It means trans women will tell
you about a horrific experience as if it was something normal that
happens to everyone.
It means, fundamentally, that reports of trans women's
marginalization are going to tend towards failing to capture the
severity of the issue.

This is a post from a trans person I know in my town. It always makes me so happy to see trans people reporting these experiences of joy they get just from finally being able to be themselves! #TransGEM #trans #transgender #lgbt #lgbtq #lgbtqia #lgbtqia2s
Discord post from an unnamed user:

I've been doing pretty decent lately despite all the hardships and was able to buy some clothes and stuff that make me feel more me. I'm feeling really happy with my transition progress esp after a recent purchase. And I've been getting out more now that I finally have SSI back, and im starting to feel at least partially human for the first time | can recall. Like I'm more than just a vessel being piloted because it can do nothing else. I don't know. Its nice

Today, July 4, is a day of celebration in my country, and indeed around the world, as we mark the anniversary of one of the most important events in human history. One that was recorded in the history books as it happened and that captured the eyes and imaginations of people across the planet. Yes, | am talking about the day that a star near Zeta Tauri went supernova in the year 1054 and became the second brightest object in the sky for many months, being visible even during the daytime. That supernova created what we now call the Crab Nebula, one of the most beautiful and celebrated objects in the sky! So join me tonight in setting off the commemorative fireworks as we remember the greatest explosion in history - the shot seen round the world!

From Wikipedia
The Crab Nebula (catalogue designations M1, NGC 1952, Taurus A) is a supernova remnant and pulsar wind nebula in the constellation of Taurus. The common name comes from a drawing that somewhat resembled a crab with arms produced by William Parsons, 3rd Earl of Rosse, in 1842 or 1843 using a 36-inch (91 cm) telescope.

There is then an embedded image of the Crab Nebula, showing an oblong cloud of gas and dust against a field of stars. The cloud is reddish along the ledges, but quickly passes through green and yellow until it is mostly blue in the interior, a glowing region filled with many intricate lanes of dust with crinkly edges, that somewhat resembles a human eye's iris in it's design.

This is a good point, but honestly I wouldn't say I deliberately gave up male privilege, though. In my mind I never fully had it in the first place because everyone kept telling me I was doing "male" the wrong way. My father was the worst about it. Telling me […] [Original post on mstdn.social]
Trans women are stronger & braver than any cis-gender heterosexual man. Why? Because they counted the cost of giving up male privilege and said “Yep! Totally worth it!"

Talking to someone in Discord, he said that the right wing in the US is starting to use language that says only they are real Americans and this language is meant to rationalize violence against everyone else. I responded that they've been using language like […] [Original post on mstdn.social]
Comment from a person:
They're starting to call maga and others "real Americans” vs, you know, immigrants, LGBTQ+ people, Democrats, unwed mothers, and so on. It's setting up, well, you know ... solutions.

Moriel (she/her) 7:53pm
Well they've been doing that for a couple of decades already

Comment from a person:
Yeah but this is new. It's not general. It's clearly being pushed to set up making near to mid term extra constitutional changes. Mark my words or something. Prepping the field as it were

Moriel (she/her) 8:01pm
Oh | fully understand that things are reaching the point where the MAGASs are starting to try and push non-MAGAs out of society and deny us basic rights - as a trans woman | literally see that happening every day! - but what I'm saying is the rhetoric used to enable that has already done it's job. The past two decades are what has desensitized the public and made it possible to start doing these things. We are well past the point where we need to worry about the language they are using. The time for that was in the 90's when they first started up with this kind of talk. Now we are at a point where they are actively stripping away people's legal rights and disappearing people off the streets. I'm not "worried" about what comes next because | think | already know what comes next. I'm only concerned about how I'm going to survive it.

Post from Timmie @haytimmie

WARNING: You have selected "Trans Mode" as a difficulty setting. This mode offers a more rewarding but challenging gameplay experience. Medicine is harder to find, enemies spawn in previously friendly spaces, merchants may not serve you, and some factions may attack on sight.

Carry weight diminishes or raises depending on what hormone path you take, your misgender meter will limit your stamina when full, and some armor may not fit properly, however, you will have increased and funnier dialogue options, a joy meter, and more character design options.

I have a new pendant. It's the structural representation of the estradiol molecule. I saw this on Etsy and since my life has always been defined by either the absence or presence of this chemical, I knew I had to have this.
Close up view of a pendant hanging from a woman's neck. The pendant is sterling silver and is shaped into the structural representation of a molecule of estradiol the principle female specific hormone.

I don’t mask because I want to be neurotypical. I mask because I have been punished and humiliated since I was a child because I’m not “acting normal” There is a difference. Masking is my response to trauma.
