Can’t remember if I’ve shared this or not but I did a little sketch gift for @jeszcze_ciszej (on insta) who tattooed me last January! I’m getting my next tattoo at the end of this month (different artist) but I really loved making a lil pressie ♥️👉👈 #artistsofbluesky #noAI #humanart

And this is a sneaky peak at a Secret Santa gift I made this year for @nokeh.bsky.social ! Can you tell I love pink?~ 🌸 I got very carried away but this baddie came together FAST so I knew I was enjoying very bit of it. ☺️ #artistsofbluesky #noAI #humanart

This is the other OC I made for the server so far - they’re a lot more complicated and nuanced, and I’m excited to introduce them soon and see how they get on. They’re a failed science experiment with 4ish forms, and their backstory is really tragic (of course) #artistsofbluesky #noAI #humanart

020

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 16/01/2026

Another thing is, I’ve recently been introduced to a wonderful RP server full of super talented and imaginative artists! This is one of the new OCs I made as part of joining ☺️ I love her already, she’s a real mess. And she’s FLUFFY 🤩. #artistsofbluesky #noAI #humanart

I also did this fun #Gunpla themed self-portrait, back when it was that AI trend for making yourself into a toy doll. I was really proud of this one 😌🙏 #artistsofbluesky #noAI #humanart

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 14/01/2026

Unsurprisingly, I got carried away and did a companion piece with my own sona to go with Nichii’s 🥺👉👈 I found it harder to get the contrast right on this because of the much more restricted colour palette! #artistsofbluesky #noAI #humanart

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 13/01/2026

This is a gift I made for my good friend, the cute gorgeous wonderful NichiiExE 🥰 of her sona! I love drawing the hotties as we all know… #artistsofbluesky #noAI #humanart

Just taking a little break from my historical work to share some more recent pieces from me! This painted sketch I did a while ago, but only finished the final touches recently. It’s a gothic self-portrait chibi! #artistsofbluesky #noAI #humanart

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 19/11/2025

And this commission was for the very sweet @TwickyFox!! Another one where I loved doing the special lighting. #noai #artistsofbluesky #humanartists

020

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 18/11/2025

I also did MAD commissions in 2022 - this was one of my all-time favourites for the beloved Witchpuppy. We wanted magical girl vibes and we GOT magical girl vibes!! #noai #artistsofbluesky #humanartists

031

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 17/11/2025

I also started to work on my second big collection for merch - the first one was all about heretic vibes, and this one was going to be a huge dark magical girl project that I only really just got started on. 😓 It takes a lot of work to make a whole collection! #noai #artistsofbluesky #humanartists

020

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 17/11/2025

I’m finally making #adoptables again! I really love playing around with character designs and experimenting with different art styles, so I’ll be putting all of them in my vgen shop @ various price points from now onwards. 💋 vgen.co/morgul/shop

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 16/11/2025

And some more gifts for friends....I did quite a few emojis in 2022! I kind of struggle to come up with my own but when there's a meme or common emoji format then I can work pretty well with emulating them for new designs. #noai #artistsofbluesky #humanartists

000

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 15/11/2025

....but here are some of the detail shots from it, avoiding the riskiest areas. 😏 #noai #artistsofbluesky #humanartists

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 14/11/2025

I reeeeeeally can't share the full picture for my other best-piece of the year; this was the Valentine's 2022 piece where I modelled the pose for myself. The shading on this was some of the best I've ever done and looked really realistic!! I was hitting my groove for sure. #noai #artistsofbluesky

000

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 13/11/2025

And there was another piece for my beloved Beth/NichiiExe 🥰 huge bongos. #noai #artistsofbluesky #humanartists

031

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 12/11/2025

Another side-portrait from January 2022 - I was trying to get some practice in and Vainglory is always a good model. I was pretty proud of this one too, as I really struggle with this angle. #noai #artistsofbluesky #humanartists

020

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 11/11/2025

Then we had one of my ALL TIME most-proud illustrations - I was encouraged on a stream to do a pirate-y self portrait and somehow it turned out absolutely incredible? I have this one framed on my wall at home and it reminds me of the kind of work I can produce when I really work at it! #noai

021

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 10/11/2025

Then we start getting into art from 2022! In January I did a sketchy piece that turned into something more, of my #DungeonWorld character Freya. It's the first time I'd drawn all of her scars in such detail and I loved the lighting I did for this. #noai #artistsofbluesky #humanartists

010

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 21/10/2025

This comic was my favourite because I didn't often (and still don't) draw for myself, and I really pushed myself on the lighting and angles/posing. It was dramatic and romantic and sad, and I still like to go back and read it from time to time. #noai #artistsofbluesky #humanartists

020

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 20/10/2025

One of my last favourite pieces of art from the year comes from a comic I did - my first proper one! - processing a scene from an old tabletop rpg. My character, Geriel, had been asked if she loved anyone - and had to mask the heartache and trauma that brought up for her. #noai #humanartists

020

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 19/10/2025

And a fanart for my favourite vtuber at the time, Dyarikku 🙏 Kinda wish I could go back and change the pose I picked for this, but it was done with excitement and haste and I got a little bit of fan appreciation for it so I was very happy. 😌#noai #artistsofbluesky #humanartists

021

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 18/10/2025

I also contributed a gift to a charity fundraiser - a cute lil doodle request that ended up being Buttercup from everyone's favourite childhood magical girl show. 😌 Went for a lineless style here, too! #noai #artistsofbluesky #humanartists

020

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 17/10/2025

Then I also had an artist Secret Santa gift for @hallowchii.bsky.social - their art is incredibly cute and I was lucky to get them in the draw 👉👈 #noai #artistsofbluesky #humanartists

021

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 16/10/2025

Did this cute little gift for my friend @lilypips.bsky.social's birthday from that Winter season! She's unbelievably pretty guysh 🥺 I get flustered just looking at her!! #noai #artistsofbluesky #humanartists

020

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 15/10/2025

I also updated my Vain PNGtuber towards the end of this year! I went more chibi with this version and I was in LOVE with her even just from the first sketch. I really struggle with chibi styles and still don't "have" one, so I still love looking back to this. #noai #artistsofbluesky #humanartists

020

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 14/10/2025

And another little chibi gift it seems I did for the lovely Saff 🩷✨ She taught me how to do those pretty plump stars I've always admired. 🥹 I miss those fun art twitch days a lot!! #noai #artistsofbluesky #humanartists

030

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 14/10/2025

Bit of a soppy addition that certain algorithms might hate, but I also did a bit of sketching in this year on my feelings about myself and reflections from exploring polyamory! This was a particularly melancholy but also happy piece. #noai #artistsofbluesky #humanartists

041

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 13/10/2025

And ended up speed-drawing this really cool pose for some of my branding work? Foreshortening is a dog. #noai #artistsofbluesky #humanartists

020

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 12/10/2025

I was also working on improving Vainglory's design, with multiple outfits and more detail on her demon mode I'd recoloured previously. Got big gothic inspiration for phase two. ✨😊 #noai #artistsofbluesky #humanartists

010

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 11/10/2025

Revisiting old characters, this was a full body reference I gave to my first ever D&D character (where I met my first partner!), Legume. She is very clumsy but ended up becoming a fully fledged Fighter at the end of her campaign and I'm still very fond of her. #noai #artistsofbluesky #humanartists

020

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 10/10/2025

Anatomy and proportions, more complex posing - I still needed a little bit of practice though. This is a cropping of a piece I did for my OC Myrrh and his brother Theilyn! The former is dragging the latter to (go dance? It's been so many years I can't recall). #noai #artistsofbluesky #humanartists

000

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 09/10/2025

But I was doing other kinds of pinups, too. This is @purapea.bsky.social's gorgeous husband tiefling to my Kirkham (see previous post). I think this was one of the things I was proudest of making that year - the shading, posing and lighting all came together! #noai #artistsofbluesky #humanartists

There was the occasional gift and experimental piece I tried here and there - liking the pink theme between these. 🩷 #noai #artistsofbluesky #humanartists

More commissions, too - this was character art for my old housemate, who was playing in an #L5R game at the time! #noai #artistsofbluesky #humanartists #commissions

020

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 05/10/2025

did anyone ask for hot fey?? because I did that too 😏 this is a fey NPC for a one-shot I ran, and he's completely golden-skinned... #noai #artistsofbluesky #humanartists

000

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 04/10/2025

Again, I have soooo many WIPs left from that year...so sad I never finished this lineless pic of my girl Remy 😭 I'll come back to you one day baby #noai #artistsofbluesky #humanartists

020

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 03/10/2025

I also made @purapea.bsky.social's cute lil himbo husband in 2021 as well - this is Kirkham and he was a firbolg I designed for another #DND5e game I played with my lovely art friends ❤️ boba window was mandatory #noai #artistsofbluesky #humanartists

032

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 02/10/2025

I also made possibly the best chibi I've ever drawn back in 2021, a piece of fanart for the absolutely wonderfully lovely @safrb.bsky.social - she had just done her re-debut with a new model and I was floored by how pretty it was! 🥺❤️ #noai #artistsofbluesky #humanartists

020

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 01/10/2025

There were a couple of pieces I did to enhance my streaming setup too, now I was more enjoying PNGtubing. Still enjoy this background set I made for my "just chatting" screen. >:3 comfy sofa !! #noai #artistsofbluesky #humanartists

000

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 30/09/2025

One of the drawing challenges I did was joining in with a fellow Twitch artist's species design, where they were combining traits of mythological creatures into something cute. This is Evangeline, and she's someone I like to sketch for my warm-ups! #noai #artistsofbluesky #humanartists

000

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 29/09/2025

I started making OC reference sheets too, though I have too many so didn't get very far... 🫣 These robot sisters are for a cyberpunk #rpg campaign I run. Still really proud of these and have recently enjoyed doing a ref sheet commission off the back of them as examples! #noai #artistsofbluesky

Secret surprise second post from me today! My comm slots are now open on vgen as the lovely @nichiiexe.bsky.social gave me one of her codes - I would love it if anyone would drop me a follow or even a cheekay lil commission to try and help me get verified! 🥰 vgen.co/morgul

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 28/09/2025

I went and revisited some old #tabletop characters of mine - this Myrrh Cylhanna, an Eladrin drag queen and one of my dearest elves. My partner Adam played his brother and it was the first time we'd done paired OCs! Really enjoyed that #DND5e campaign even if it didn't last long. #noai #humanartist

050

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 27/09/2025

Continuing the catch up on 2021 art - did a number of art challenges and DTIYS posts, too. I started experimenting a little bit more with character design and doing some weird and wonderful things. ✨ #noai #artistsofbluesky #humanartists

031

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 21/09/2025

I have so many unpublished WIPs from 2021 still (and beyond, as we'll see later). This was a tabletop character I designed (a monster hunter) that never got played. But I revelled in her backstory, and will have to go back and finish her one day. #noai #humanartists #artistsofbluesky

000

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 20/09/2025

I was experimenting with darker stuff, too, and through my zombie-coded OC Tallow I played around with a little more body horror and light gore. It was fun and interesting and content that I'd like to return to some day with a little more practice! #noai #humanartists #artistsofbluesky

010

Maenas Morgul @morgul.bsky.social · 19/09/2025

Also did this little chibi gremlin for my girlfriend at the time - I still love this piece too since she looks so cheeky. 😆 #noai #humanartists #artistsofbluesky
