2/5 ⭐ genre: horror (but i would say litfic) really good potential with shallow follow through, so many subplots that just end without being mentioned again and an ending that leaves you very unsatisfied. very dark material with almost no purpose to the plot and not handled in a way i liked at all

4.5/5 ⭐ genre: thriller AJ Finn is an auto buy author now, the way they craft their stories reminds me why i like thrillers 😂 perfect balance of suspense and character work, not too jumpy while keeping you on your toes, and great foreshadowing throughout!

5/5 ⭐ genre: romance I LOVE THEM YOUR HONOR!!! these two drove me insane which means i loved it very much the pining was off the charts. both mark and eddie had me crying the whole time, but anyway. there's also a dog, her name is lula, and she is the boss of everyone as she should

3/5 ⭐ genre: horror i thought the theming surrounding gender dynamics in marriage and the disparity in power between men and woman in society was strong. the larger symbols are really the books strength, as is the horror descrptions, however the pacing is very strange and i found it a tad too short

😭😭
Still, this book is something solid that Eddie can hold in his hands, real proof that queer people exist, that he exists. Nothing good is coming to the women in this book-honestly, they'll be lucky if the house doesn't eat them or do whatever it is evil houses do in scary books. But they exist, and Mark noticed they exist, and Eddie can look at the words printed on the page and at Mark's perfect penmanship and know that he isn't alone.

5/5 ⭐ genre: fantasy this book infuriated me, which means it did exactly what it set out to do. it's strong message in colonization and breaking indoctrination mentality was so well done, and even though the process of that for sciona was frustrating at times, i appreaciated that it was realistic

2.5/5 ⭐️ genre: horror there were aspects in this book i enjoyed and aspects that i didn’t, but i did try to dnf it and was too invested to so idk. the plot was all over the place though and the most interesting part of it was given not enough time imo. lots of dark topics, read tw’s

4/5 ⭐️ genre: fantasy i am sad to say this is probably my least favorite of the series, i still thoroughly enjoyed it don’t get me wrong, having darlington’s pov the whole time was really interesting and i thought the ending sequence was perfect, but there were too many loose ends for me

4.5/5⭐️ genre: romance i saw a review where they said the ending made them like it more and i stand by that opinion, because while i am here for the romance, the world building’s main flaw did stop me from enjoying at it’s full potential, but it did make sense in the end. also i’d kill for darcy

5/5 ⭐️ genre: dystopian i think this is a must read for everyone, the concept is incredibly heavy but so well done, the commentary on the prison system is so rich and unsettling, and while the multiple povs can get a little confusing, i think all are incredibly necessary to the narrative

Think You're Everything I've Wanted
Morganski_19
Summary:
"What do you want to tell everyone?"
If he had a choice, he would like for them to have the time to figure this out for themselves before the team gets involved. But, there's the chance they might not even get that. JJ knows he was planning on asking Luke out, the whole team apparently has already figured out they like each other, Spencer wouldn't even put it past them to have made a bet about them already. Which is a fact he both loves and hates; loves that they care this much, hate that it feels so invasive.
Luke seems hesitant about this as well. "Do you think we have to tell them right away?"
"They are profilers."
"Right." He sighs. "I was kinda hoping we could have a few weeks to figure this out for ourselves before it got out."
"I was hoping the same."
"Can we try, then? Just walk in tomorrow and pretend like this never happened."

Summary:
He'll give Buck the benefit of the doubt that this isn't what this is. That maybe Buck's cold isn't as bad as the one that put Chim out of commission when he caught the bug from Jee last week. Just heavy enough that Buck called out of work but can still take care of Theo-
Who is he kidding, Buck never calls out of work. That man has more sick time built up than the rest of them combined. If he called out, it has to be bad.
He's thinking about it the rest of the morning and well into the afternoon. His fingers keep hovering over his phone screen, meaning to type out some insistence of helping, but they can never seem to form a message good enough to send. Not like Buck will accept the help on his own accord.
The only way Eddie will get him to admit that he needs help is if he forces it out of him.
Which isn't a terrible idea.
