Morganna Magee @morgannamagee.bsky.social · 03/07/2025Persephone Rising responds to a shifting climate and a fraying sense of seasonal certainty. This year, the temperature has remained 2.3 degrees above average, and by mid-May, when frost would usually signal the arrival of winter, I am instead surrounded by dry earth and dying plants. 1180
Morganna Magee @morgannamagee.bsky.social · 03/07/2025My first ever zine Persephone Rising is available via my website. $40 AUD The work was made hurriedly over the extended summer and all profits from sales will go directly to @warriors4wildlife who support wildlife and their carers. 041
Morganna Magee @morgannamagee.bsky.social · 20/04/2025I submitted my an article for my PhD (writing is not my strong point) now I cannot stop photographing…. 0261
Morganna Magee @morgannamagee.bsky.social · 15/04/2025I love photographing when I am deep the teaching semester because I have to think of my own advice. Trying to help students be open to reflexivity and nuance. And that sometimes you to just love an image because it makes you feel something 0180
Morganna Magee @morgannamagee.bsky.social · 21/03/2025I picked up my rolleiflex after 7 or so years. The format really defined so much of the portrait work I used to do that once I shifted to large format I doubted I’d ever use the camera again. It’s been lovely to be proven wrong. I still don’t have a scanner but kind of love the curls of the film 1351

Morganna Magee @morgannamagee.bsky.social · 12/03/2025c4journal.com/phenomena-mo... Really lovely review of Phenomena up on C4 journal today. I particularly appreciate the attention Jack gave to the image of the Kangaroo. That image is so important to the work as a whole and I was thrilled it made it in the edit. 0160
Morganna Magee @morgannamagee.bsky.social · 08/03/20255 years ago we brought Shadow home to heal our broken hearts. I’ve spent much more time cuddling him than photographing him but I do love this image that made it into Extraordinary Experiences 1181
Morganna Magee @morgannamagee.bsky.social · 05/03/2025It seems ridiculous to share large format photos on a phone screen but I’m hoping they will be printed in the near future 💫 1451

Morganna Magee @morgannamagee.bsky.social · 25/02/2025Diptych from 2020. Making this on the photocopier at work was the first time I considered putting my work into book form. Getting ready for a new semester, looking forward to being inspired by the possibilities of what students can make. 0442
Morganna Magee @morgannamagee.bsky.social · 23/02/2025I’ve been asked to put together a submission for The Paddocks and though I don’t love the admin it’s good to take stock and look through the work. First image is a selection of what I’ve made, second image is a 1840 map of the western port district in which the paddocks are identified 2403

Morganna Magee @morgannamagee.bsky.social · 13/02/2025I get asked sometimes what the little aberrations and dots are in my landscape. In this particular one it was butterflies 🖤 0450
Morganna Magee @morgannamagee.bsky.social · 11/02/2025Wild kangaroo at The Paddocks , 2025 Approaching the middle of my PhD focused on these sweet, social misunderstood beings. Am learning their communicative cues and have found some Kangaroos will patiently let me photograph them with large format 🖤 0260
