His final days were really hard. He was much stronger than I’d ever be. Wanted to hang on for my mom as long as he could. God, cancer can be so cruel. I’ve left town every weekend since he passed searching for distractions. Still so raw for me.

He’s buried with a view of Chavez Ravine (Dodger stadium) which he’d love. My grandparents and younger brother are buried close by.

Lost my dad a month ago. It happened so fast. For the first week or so after the diagnosis I just tried getting him “help” - appointments, new treatments, new docs or anything. He was gone in 3 weeks. My brain has been in a fog ever since.

Three weeks ago my dad spoke in public. Two weeks ago he could slowly walk up stairs with help and could speak with a soft voice. This weekend he can’t get out of bed and can barely speak when he’s not asleep.

I need to be in Elko, NV next week. Flying from BUR to EKO is almost $1000 more than just flying to SLC and renting a car for a 3 hour drive. Delta is a master of the shakedown.

I stick with guided tours when skiing new terrain. I don't trust myself enough and want someone skilled around in case something goes wrong.
