The last day we went for oysters! Broiled w/ cheese. Perky Sea & Low Ground (fresh & gorgeous). Shrimp, redfish (I'd never had this before - soooo good!), scallops (cooked to perfection). Jambalaya! (aka a party in my mouth)

Then we went to High Cotton for brunch (don't come at me, I didn't name the restaurant). We got beignets and shrimp & grits. And they brought us a cinnamon roll on the house because we are awesome. That cinnamon roll changed our lives.

Then we got some takeout BBQ (brisket, beef & pork ribs, coleslaw and corn pudding which definitely had magic as an ingredient). They gave us a little taster to try before choosing our meats. And this time I actually took the time to eat the taster offered. It was delicious.

Then we went for tea at The Thorough Bred club at The Charleston Place. Marinated beef tartelette, salmon rillette, and keylime tartelette were highlights. The Earl Grey Crème was heaven. There was a harpist (not pictured because I did not look good in the photo).

Night 1: Went for some Korean BBQ (which included some delicious noodles - not pictured) and then headed to a country show. Sugarland! I'd never heard of them, but I am always up for some country. It's fun! Gimme some of that twang!

Mr. PJ Rolex came to town. Paid him a visit two nights in a row. He continued to not mansplain a single thing. Night one Sancerre. Night two Chablis. And he made me girl dinner (cheese - three kinds!, fruit, prosciutto, trailmix w/ chocolate chips). Tiramisu.

Never in my life has anyone told me what they did for work and I didn't understand. Not once. Though in my life as Morgan one dude when telling me what he did spoke to me slowly as if I was both deaf and dumb. After each sentence he said "Do you understand?"

And for my last night in town I got to see one of my long-time dates. He just so happened to be in the city and was staying nearby. Kismet! He made me promise not to walk back to my hotel. Especially after the garbage can incident... I definitely walked back.

We head to dinner in a Black SUV. I've lost track of what number of modes of transport we are at. And here is my dirty little secret: I. Love. Black. SUVs. I do. I love them. And because most of the time I use the subway or two feet and a heartbeat, I feel zero shame for this love.
