I don't think any other rival came close to that level of development until Bianca/N. And we didn't see it again until Hop/Bede. 100

I think Pokemon fans tend to think only a "jerk" can be a rival, but that's merely based off of their interpretation of who they thought Blue is, who doesn't even insult you the whole game, at most is just kind of annoying. 100

I have my hang ups about Ghetsis being the true villain however. 200
