Been interested in John Gwynne for a while so decided to read this, first 20% is really cool and it managed to get me invested in the 3 lead characters very quick. I’m a sucker for anything based in Norse Mythos so something as rich with that as this and prose this pretty gripped me immediately

I watched 100 new movies this year and ranked them for fun. Lot of action movies this year, especially from the 80s/90s. Here's to another 100+ next year 🫡 #filmsky

They gotta stop letting white boys into the desert man. What a film Lawrence of Arabia is though I’m glad I finally got around to it

Non spoiler SA5 thoughts For what it’s worth I enjoyed this book but his weaknesses are more blatant than they’ve ever been, this is his lowest as a writer on the micro level. On the macro he’s always gonna deliver, big AAA blockbuster type stuff is his bag but man.

Also finally beat FF7 Rebirth.. started both this and Persona 3R when they released in early 2024 but all my time was taken up by tekken. Feels good to come back around and get them done www.backloggd.com/u/rahat_/rev...

Game has too much soul for me to hate it, I love these characters and the way they're brought to life in the remakes.

unfortunately, even as someone who enjoyed the narrative changes in Remake...

52% in things are starting to pick up, enjoyed day 5 a lot. Sanderson’s constant spoon feeding gets a little jarring at times but whatever, I’m ready for this last 50% I have so many questions

Finished Persona 3 Reload and Baptism of Fire today 👍🏽 accidentally lost my 44 reading streak so I’m taking that as a sign to take a break until Stormlight 5

Also reached a reading streak of minimum 1 hour for 35 days straight 😁 hope I can keep it going through to the new year but it’ll be tough

Finished Blood of Elves yesterday Some of the most fun dialogue I’ve read, every conversation is like a back and forth jousting match. This is what I was looking for when beginning the series, it was worth slogging through The Last Wish and Sword of Destiny. I’ll die for my daughter Ciri

read both of these this weekend they weren’t amazing but had hints of something special (also hints of some very awful stuff) but excited for things to finally get going in Blood of Elves. Some people should not be allowed to write any scenes involving women lol

Veilguard definitely has issues (tonal consistency, dialogue, detached from previous entries, generally feeling very safe) but I’m having a ton of fun. First 2 hours were solid and the combat is super enjoyable, 60% of what I’m here for

rahat @moonspawn.bsky.social · 31/10/2024

I hope I can keep up the reading streak for at least a month

I’ve played roughly 8 games this year (2 being DLC and 1 a fighting game).. crazy compared to 2023 where I played 29

I’m becoming one of them… Erikson is so genius I love listening to him speak about his work there’s so many layers, it makes me feel like a moron. But at least I’m a moron capable of appreciating brilliance beyond my capabilities

I wanted to take a little break after reading Memories of Ice and this back to back, but I’m fighting the urge to just dive into the next book immediately 💙📚

The way Hamaguchi directs conversations in his movies is so intimate it almost feels wrong for me to be listening in
