Traveling with a sketchbook brings me quiet moments of presence.

View of a wonky sketchbook with a delightfully wonky view of Multnomah Falls sketched in ink and watercolor.

Description: Gorgeous calico cat perches her fuzzy backside on a piece of expensive watercolor paper while contemplating reaching out to smear the still-wet bright red paint comprising a cherry atop sundae (that probably took a very long time to paint).

Work in progress on a new coloring page. An attempt at tidying the room led to my discovery of the effects of backlighting alcohol markers with the morning sun. My camera phone didn’t do it justice. Thing was glowing. #copic

A work in progress cartoon-y coloring page of a long-haired female character wearing a gold and green diadem and a green garment, with Rembrandt lighting.

Same image, but pale flesh tones now glow orange; her eyes and a pair of red flowers flanking her also glow and are more dominant.
