A stunning poster-style piece for my spec-bio/evo passion project Trail of Cryptids, shown here are the 3 main characters, Thomas, Jenny, & Corrine out on field work & chilling by the fireplace in the woods, with some silhouetted specimens lurking in the background. (art by @corax-lara.bsky.social)

Seen here is a moonlit forest with 3 people sitting by the fireplace that's got meat & shrooms roasting by it, on the left is Thomas with a drink in his hand & with his rifle by his side & a cast of a Sasquatch track leaning by the side of the log he's sitting on, in the middle is the P-Type Vargr/Werewolf Jenny having a laugh & pointing to a smirking Corrine on the right, who's got a backpack & opened icy cooler box by her side. Lurking in the background are the silhouetted forms of a Sasquatch in the treeline & mothman soaring above. The title looms in the sky right between the trees, with the full moon forming the letter o in of.

Soft Circuit orders will lock this upcoming Wednesday! We're closing in on your final chance to place a pre-order: soft-circuit.backerkit.com/hosted_preor... 💛 #robots #enamelpins #indieplush #artistsonbluesky

Photo of small printed circuit board style bandanas meant to be worn by plushies, in six different colors, sitting in rainbow order and fixed with PCB style enamel pin designs in corresponding colors of a cat skull, heart, wolf, butterfly, hyena, and noodle dragon.

POV photo of a person crouched down looking at some robot plushies, who are laid out on a purple blanket outside! The robot wolf pup's paw is being held up to wave their tiny geometric embroidered beans, and they are wearing the plug-in circuit board bandana that matches the other plush, a robot noodle snake dragon. Other circuit board bandanas are visible in the background, each with a corresponding color of enamel pin.

Photo of a pin and two backing cards, one of them flipped to show the back artwork of two robot bears hugging, sitting on a piece of cork board. The pin is a bee in a printed circuit board style with rainbow anodized metal, and the card says "Short Circuit" and "Unit Line: Light".

YES. Practical effects monsters very rarely smile in movies. That thing plus it smiling after scurrying away was the definition of disturbing.

Getting ahold of my mental health will literally fix every other thing wrong with my life. I'm health anxiety style afraid of mind alterations. I don't drink I don't smoke weed. I don't do things that alter my body it's a phobia of mine. So that really makes living life hard.

with a toddler always needing more and more from us and learning how to do this all with the cost of groceries and gas astronomical AND running a whole business it's just not easy to get to not being intensely stressed all the time. Alas. One big oof amirite?

Additionally I cannot keep a routine to save my actual life as is evident. I don't answer phones. I don't see people in person. I don't keep lists I don't track anything longer than my attention deficit brain can be excited to do so. So yeah it's a lot of handling my mental health.

So more info. Ok. I'm on WW and I stopped using it after a couple months. they changed their program to be too much free, with packaged foods costing too many points. useless program. Learning more yeah I learned it's just calories really. Still having to pay for WW for a couple more months.

Everything in the Exorcist tbh. Imagine my surprise witnessing the cut scene later on where she runs down the stairs backwards hoboy. But in the end no werewolf movie ever unsettled me or scared me. They're my pals. My good buddies. I just can barely handle gnarly visual gore.

The Wheelers and Mombi in Return to Oz but mostly the actress that played the final Mombi saying DOROTHY GALE in that way. Brave Little Toaster scenes various. Pee Wee's big Adventure Large Marge and Clown dream. The Wiz subway tunnel scene. It's all quite basic stuff.

several scenes in all 3 Poltergeist but the third one still unsettles me deep in my core. Kain's voice is the scariest voice I've ever heard in my life. Especially in 3. Alien chestburster scene, Several the Thing scenes, The Blob scenes, Meatloaf getting chopped in Rocky Horror.

I tried and could not pick one thing. I coudn't pick four things. I can't pick 10 things. My parents watched horror all the time in my life and I either stayed or went to my room because I was scared. Now I love horror lmao.

Not bad for literally doing nothing barely going out to walk anymore. Eating candy and carbs. I think I'm just not eating much total still. That can make a difference. Funds are always zooming out the door when I make them and food is hard to come by. Gas is almost 6 dollars at the cheapest...

on one hand thank god I don't have more to have to lose but also I probably just lost muscle mass because I absolutely do NOT actually feel good at all. there's lbs and there's feeling healthy . I don't feel healthy. But still just relieved I didn't make too much additional work for myself.

I tried to check my calories and eat better for a while and lost nothing. But also letting loose hasn't really gained me much either. I checked the scale tonight after like 3 weeks of not bothering looking and I'm SO PLEASANTLY SURPRISED I thought I must have gained 10 lbs.

did you see the ones from Village? there were 2. more wolfman like ghoul looking ones. and then GIANT ripped mouth more hairy ones. They aren't technically werewolves in the sense of regular lycanthropy but created wolfmen with splicing dna which is really CREATIVE

It looks like for folks that want more werewolf movies along the lines of the Resident Evil village Varcolac and I know there's a lot of you. Here you go HERE YOU GO. it looks absolutely HORRIFYING and DISGUSTING. It makes my stomach turn in a "good job damn" kind of way.

There's a movie coming on Shudder in October called THE CYCLE. I don't usually pump for horror movies (unless they are mine, haha), but this is special. Put it on your calendar.

Me wanting a costume but knowing dang well I'd never actually use it and then seeing someone else get it instead and have lots of fun and get lots of use out of it where I get to see it still, knowing it's probably in better hands than I.
