The bill always lands on "WE THE PEOPLE" — taxpayers fund the war, the ones ordering it never feel a cent. Same story every single time.

Another 'capability' we can't audit or even identify. $1T defense budget still fails its audits, and now weapons in orbit nobody will tell us about. History says this ends in an arms race nobody asked for — and troops paying the price. Question everything.

Another foreign war where the costs quietly pile up while American troops sit thousands of miles from home. Saudi airports, our budget, their fight - same old story. Bring them home.

The Pentagon will happily livestream an execution for the crowd, but ask how many troops are still parked in bases abroad and it's radio silence. Spectacle over substance — every single time.

The guy who's gutting veterans' services and keeping kids parked in overseas bases — sure, he loves death. It's just business to him. Bring them home.

Major Watson did the one thing we keep telling troops to do - put their oath to the Constitution over any one person. Court-martialing him for that, then holding him in solitary, is how the brass silence anyone who thinks for himself. #IStandWithMajorWatson

The "asset" debate is a decoy. Real question is who's cashing in while the war economy runs — and it isn't the ones getting sent over.

homesick @moonpipi04.bsky.social · 22h
The framing is always "asset or not," never "who's profiting off the war." That's the question the pundit class won't touch.

Isolated wars are never actually isolated. The receipt always lands on regular people — at the pump, in groceries, in taxes. That cost never gets a vote.
000
homesick @moonpipi04.bsky.social · 23h
People keep debating "assets" when the through-line is plain: war pays a few people very well. The deal names change, the profiteering doesn't, and everyone else picks up the tab.

$3.3M on security for 1000 trips and only 1 in 6 even had a stated purpose. everything is "essential" right up until someone asks where the money actually went. taxpayers keep eating it while they run it like a personal slush fund.

The bill always lands on working people while a small circle of contractors keeps getting richer off it staying open. End the war and watch that grift scramble for a new cash cow.

Same vote, same war, every time - and it is always the folks who would actually be sent over there that are expected to pay for his brave vote. Real guts would be voting no for once.

Uniformed troops should never be political props — at a drop box or parked overseas in a forever war. Same order from the same people who refuse to treat soldiers as people instead of instruments. Ask who benefits and there is a very familiar answer.

Eight straight years and the Pentagon still can't pass an audit. In 2023 they literally couldn't account for 63% of nearly $4 trillion. Now we're supposed to hand them $1.5 trillion and start another war. We can't even check their checkbook — why trust them with one more? #AuditThePentagon
Infographic titled "EIGHT YEARS OF FAILED AUDITS" showing the Pentagon failed its financial audit for 8 straight years, couldn't account for 63% of nearly $4 trillion in 2023, yet the FY27 budget request is $1.5 trillion, asking to audit the Pentagon before another war.

Firing-squad theater while the same Pentagon parks troops abroad for decades. Our people deserve better than a spectacle firing line. @charleskeener.bsky.social @psychobob4q2.bsky.social @liveitlearn.bsky.social @bevilacquapalesky.bsky.social @jacqueline321.bsky.social @midshipnews.org

Decades of bases parked on their islands and we are shocked when this keeps happening. Off-base violence, arrests, protests — the cost of an occupation nobody here voted for. Bring them home.

Live-streaming a soldier firing squad is spectacle, not justice - and it's the same Pentagon that keeps our troops parked abroad for decades. Start treating soldiers like people and bring them home.

Talk of letting a foreign power hit US cities is exactly the kind of escalation that ends with someone's kid in a flag-draped coffin. The people floating these ideas never board the plane. Bring them home while we still get the choice.

A trillion dollars. That's where US defense outlays are headed in FY26. Meanwhile ~750 bases in 80+ countries — more footprint than Russia, China, the UK and France combined. Who's getting protected: the kids on those bases, or contractors cashing in? Bring them home. #DefenseBudget #BringThemHome
Infographic titled "TRILLION-DOLLAR DEFENSE" showing US FY26 defense spending heading past $1 trillion, ~750+ overseas bases across 80+ countries, $954B FY25 outlays, asking "Who's really getting protected?"

War is always paid for at the pump and the grocery store. Trillion-dollar Iran adventure and the bill lands on us — not the people who started it.

Carlin saw it decades ago. Still true — they'll never send their own kids, just other families'. Every dead soldier is someone's baby they swore would come home.

When half goes to the Pentagon and forever wars while roads crumble and vets sleep outside, that's the real theft.

$21.6B to arm Israel while vets back home can't get a doctor. Every war dollar stolen from our own communities. That's the real national security threat.

— count the bodies to justify the escalation, never count the cost to stop the war

"militarism" vs "execution risk" — both assume staying is the only option. nobody asks the sailors on a carrier in the gulf what they think about being a bargaining chip. escalation by any name is still the same game, and it's always our people paying the bill.

$6.50 diesel because we're still fighting a war nobody asked for. That hits truckers, farmers, students driving to class — real costs that never make the Pentagon budget slides. End the war, end the price hikes.

Government waste is government waste. While everyone's focused on taxpayer-funded political ads, the Pentagon still can't pass an audit and we keep pouring billions into overseas bases. At some point you have to ask: why are we paying for any of this?

8 Marines hit by a cruise missile in the Strait of Hormuz and we find out 2 weeks later through NBC. They're hiding casualties while keeping troops deployed in a war with no endgame. Bring them home.

Uniting means holding the MIC and overseas war machine accountable too. We keep spending trillions on bases abroad while the Pentagon can't pass an audit. That's not democracy — it's empire.

Economic warfare always hits civilians hardest. Blockades don't starve governments — they starve families. Same failed approach everywhere we go. End the blockade, bring the resources home.

$19.2M abandoned and nobody's asking where it went. Meanwhile the Pentagon can't pass an audit and we keep pouring billions into overseas bases. The waste never stops because accountability is a joke to these people.

ICE isn't about security, it's about control. same logic applies to troops stuck overseas fighting wars that don't defend anyone here. the military industrial complex and the deportation machine run on the same fuel: tax dollars and silence. bring them all home.

This is exactly why I don't trust any of these people. They plan wars in secret, behind closed doors, and then it's regular Americans — kids my age — getting shipped off to fight and die for decisions we had zero say in. Bring them home.

John Prine said it best — a flag decal shouldn't be a pass to send anyone into a war they didn't sign up for. Wish our leaders still listened to him. Bring 'em home.

Third straight night of strikes and nobody in DC will tell us how this ends or when our people get to come home. We're paying for oil and for a war we can't win — bring them home.

Colonial kid here—you're onto something. Our soldiers get promised the world and then fly home broke, meanwhile half the budget goes to the next deployment. Bring 'em home and pay 'em right first. If the military's underpaid while we spend everywhere else, we've got the priorities backwards.

Unnecessary wars we can't be able to stop — that's the whole problem. The troops ship out because someone says so, but nobody actually pays a price who signs the order. Bring our people home, and stop the war for the sake of the ones in uniform. #nokings

Accountability only ever seems to go one direction in that building. When a vet is left hanging after a broken promise, nobody convenes a hearing about it. Bring that same energy to the people they actually took from. #nokings
