Thinking about #Hi-Five again Underrated dynamic I loved is Chunhwa watching Youngchun’s development. There is smthg so horrifyingly interesting about the concept of watching your frail, pathetic, asshole of a father suddenly turn into the antichrist.

I dont even mean this in an anti-romance way, I’m just glad the movie was very much focused on the relationship between the girls. Like it was very intentional that after Rumi got self confidence on her own -> then her friendship with Mira and Zoey was highlighted -> and THEN her and Jinu yfm

Might be showing my age but “Your Idol” gave me Vixx vibes soooo bad. I don’t know if 4th/5th gen boy groups are still doing demon/evil/dark fantasy concepts but Vixx would EAT #kpopdemonhunters

She was behaving like it was actually something she had been taught to /never/ do. Celine looked terrified, the heavy breathing and panicked eyes. Not of Rumi personally (she would’ve attacked her if so), but of the concept of vulnerability. Of Rumi being so open about her insecurities.

Like Rumi was pissed off yes but it looked like Celine was near a panic attack. Not because Rumi was half demon, but because Rumi was showcasing her “flaws” and being emotionally vulnerable, and Celine was obviously not used to something like that.

🚨SPOILERS🚨 Favorite minor scene in Kpop Demon Hunters was that even though Celine kept enforcing “hide your fears & never show weakness”, that moment of Rumi confronting her very clearly implied that she herself was a victim of the same trauma she was inflicting on the girls.
