kita is also doing really well. no long S still sucks and will likely show more in round 2 but chances are if sei falls over bc she got rushed or debuffed kita will pick up the slack

a kitasan black build from CM20. despite no long S, she has a solid amount of stamina (864) and recoveries, 1552 speed, and standard front runner skills.

the same kitasan's results in CM20. finishing first in 9 races out of 40 ran, she has a win rate of 22.5% and an overall top 3 rate of 75%.

— no pride in sharing scars (4/4) [i will quote the original with adelaverse-specific context :) ardbert torment nexus deployed]

As he turns to walk away, Ardbert takes one last look back at the Warrior of Light and her companion.

The Warrior of Light—Adela—notices the man looking at her, returning his gaze. Her friend, Krile, also turns her gaze toward Ardbert as she speaks.

Ardbert looks away guiltily, the apparition of his former self—a Mystel who does, in fact, look much like Adela—appearing by his side.

— no pride in sharing scars (2/4) [i know bsky now supports ten images per post but i'm doing four. please understand.]

A shot of both the warrior and the white mage. The warrior—Ardbert—continues to look away from his companion, Lamitt.

Lamitt: "Strikingly so, I'd say. If I didn't know better, I'd say that's why—"

Ardbert turns to look at Lamitt, his expression becoming stern.

Ardbert: "That's enough, Lamitt."

Lamitt raises an eyebrow.

Lamitt: "You know you can talk to me about this. I want to help you."

Ardbert once again looks away, crossing his arms.

Ardbert: "I think we have bigger things to worry about right now. Taking down that 'primal,' as he called it?"

— no pride in sharing scars (1/4) the warrior of light's visage brings back painful memories for the warrior of darkness.

A Hyuran man in warrior garb and a Lalafellin woman dressed as a white mage look upon two distant figures standing next to the Tailfeather aetheryte--a Miqo'te and Lalafellin woman talking to each other.

Ardbert: "Is that her?"

A closer shot of the Miqo'te and the Lalafell. The Miqo'te woman is speaking to the Lalafell, who is wearing a yellow robe and a hood with cat ears.

Lamitt: "Yes, the Warrior of Light of the Source—Adela Epocan."

The white mage Lalafell looks up at her warrior companion.

Lamitt: "She looks a lot like you, doesn't she? The 'old' you, I mean."

The man looks away from her, a guilty expression on his face.

Ardbert: "Yes. She does."

i cannot find the "in-game description" this consolegameswiki page describes (he doesn't have a page in the unending codex) but. EXTREMELY IMPORTANT WHY DID I NOT KNOW THIS!!

a description of Ardbert Hylfyst, the best character in the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV Online.

"There was a time when Arbert served as Warrior of Light within a reflection of Hydaelyn known as the First. When the Flood of Light threatened to drag his world into a void of nothingness, he joined hands with the Ascian Elidibus and made the harrowing journey to this plane of existence that he might save his own. Though today Arbert carries the fate of his world upon his shoulders, his beginnings were of a humble nature. Born into an ordinary family, Arbert was an inherently curious youth who enjoyed fishing and dreamed of seeing the world. Upon his eighteenth nameday, he resolved to become an adventurer and bid his friends and family farewell. Traveling where the wind took him, Arbert would slowly gain a number of loyal companions. Together, they forged names for themselves until ultimately becoming entangled in a destiny far greater than the world itself.

Before leaving the First, Arbert was forced to end the lives of those he loved best, and it is with deep despair in his heart, that he wanders our realm seeking salvation."
