Just finished up with making snowflakes for friends this year! Made some improvements since the last time I did this but I could do better/more if I gave myself more time. But I'm still happy with how these came out!

Six uniquely cut white cardstock snowflakes laid out on a dark rug.

Been a while.. Had some life changes that have had me busy adjusting. But it's now the holiday season and I have some more people I'd like to make custom snowflakes for!

Still love this painting. Need to make more explosions! #art #painting #supernova

A painting against a background of flowers.
The painting is of a supernova exploding on the canvas from the lower right. In the center is blue and projects out yellow green, pink, and white. As it goes out, it pushes past the black of space into yellow, a bright green and blue to the right. To the left red, purple, and pink streaks across and covers the white of the canvas.

I really want to redo the right of this to blend it in rather than have it drip. But I also kind of like it still... #art #painting

A painting against a background of colorful flowers.
The painting is of a large bright white nebula melting down into a blue aquamarine, and yellow on the lower left half of the painting. On the left the black of space drips into the nebula.

I've always liked how this came out. Looking like a bleeding sun.. #art #painting

A painting against a background of colorful flowers.
The painting is of a large red sun in the center of the canvas. It melts down the painting in red, dark orange, yellow, and purple. Thin transparent light red trees surround the sides of the sun. White and light red treetops hover above it, their thin trunks dripping down into the sun and blending into it.

I actually painted this one at an event. Must have been confusing for people to look over and see me running my hair through the paint. #art #painting #spaceart

A space painting against a background of colorful flowers.
The painting has a large white, blue, and purple moon floating in the upper left corner. The black star filled space behind it blends into a bright white, purple, and pink nebula that covers the rest of the canvas. A blue nebula weaves through in thin streaks towards the right of the painting.

Some of these paintings make it really difficult to write the alt text for...

A space painting against a background of flowers.
The painting is of a colorful nebula moving diagonally from the lower left to the top right of the canvas, leaving the lower right corner swirling with the black of space. The nebula is a mixture of bright red, blue, green, gray, lavender, and mauve.
In the top left corner of the canvas are several planets. One is a large black planet, looking almost as if it's an opening in the nebula. In front of it is a smaller blue, red, and mauve moon and an even smaller red moon. Next to them is another small black moon.

It's time to start posting the last and largest of my paintings. This one was actually a favorite of mine once...

A space painting against a background of colorful flowers.
The painting has a wispy nebula reaching from the left to the right in the center of the canvas. The nebula swirls into itself and the black star filled space in blues and purples. Floating amidst the nebula are three moons. The largest is in the top left. A smaller moon hangs below it towards the lower part of the painting. To the lower right, at the edge of the bottom of the canvas, is the smallest moon.

Last of the 8x10 inch paintings to post.

A painting against a background of flowers.
The painting is of a bright rainbow nebula shifting in color from the top to the bottom of the canvas. The green of the nebula dripping down looking almost like a forest of trees. A black planet floats in the right upper corner of the canvas.

To be honest, this painting feels like a mess...

A painting against a background of flowers.
The painting has vertical streaks of red, orange, green, and pink against the white of the canvas. Two blue moons float around the top right part of the painting.

Do you ever just love the way something came out, but you're not sure how well you'd be able to replicate it if you tried again?

A painting on top of a background of flowers.
The painting is of a bright red, pink, and white nebula exploding out from the lower left corner of the canvas. A small purple planet also floats in the corner.

While there is glow into the dark paint on this one, it's fun that it almost looks like it's glowing without doing so.

A space painting against a background of flowers.
The painting has a purple, teal, green, and yellow green nebula in the lower right corner and bottom of the canvas. Part of it stretches up diagonally towards the left where parts fade into the black of space. A column of the nebula changes color to white and neon yellow and joins into the bright nebula on that side of the painting. A silver and gold moon floats in the dark space in the upper right corner of the canvas. Bright orange stars speckle over the whole painting.

Love the background atmosphere for this one.

A painting against a background of flowers.
The painting is of a white and gray nebula streaking diagonally on the canvas. Two black moons drip in the same direction as the nebula down to the lower left corner of the painting. Bright green stars are scattered all over.

I hope the alt text for this painting makes sense..

A painting against a background of flowers.
The painting has a background of a large white and pink moon. A purple nebula covers the bottom of the canvas. A large bright blue nebula streaks in front of the moon covering most of the painting. Two small black moons hover in front of the blue nebula.

I think overall I've gotten better in my skills with these paintings and the techniques I use (maybe I'll make some posts about that) But this one is still a favorite from my older ones!
