🚨I found the ill-fated @Int_Machines #IM2 #Athena lander using the #Chandrayaan2 OHRC and it shows some interesting patterns around the site where it hard landed. Exclusive story 👇 and I’ll share more detailed observations and my thoughts on this soon in my blog. (More pictures are storely below)

When comparing OHRC imagery from #Chandrayaan2 with @LROC images, it’s clear once again that @isro ’s OHRC remains the most capable lunar observation camera to date—delivering unmatched clarity, resolution, and detail from orbit.

A distinct light-toned halo around the site indicates lunar regolith was ejected during impact. The debris spread extends noticeably from the point of contact, hinting at the significant kinetic force involved in the crash.

Chandra (tckb) @moonandbeyond.blog · 06/08/2025
Both images offer high-resolution visuals of the impact site. In the first annotated image, the crash point is clearly visible, along with a debris field scattered around the site, providing valuable post-impact data.

Chandra (tckb) @moonandbeyond.blog · 06/08/2025
The exact coordinates of the impact, as determined from OHRC imagery, are (60.445897, 355.410438). OHRC captured these images from an altitude of ~109 km, with a pixel resolution of 28 cm—some of the clearest views to date.

🚨 (New High res lunar images) On June 5, 2025, ispace_inc’s HAKUTO-R lander attempted a soft landing on the Moon in the Mare Frigoris region. Unfortunately, the mission ended in a crash landing during its final descent. (1/n)

With launch successful, ISRO waits until it starts receiving and processing 8 Terra Bytes of S-Band data and @nasajpl.bsky.social 35 Terra Bytes of L-Band data single a day! Now that’s wealth of global data

Chandra (tckb) @moonandbeyond.blog · 30/07/2025
ISRO successfully launched and deployed NISAR in its intended orbit with a precision of ~2km to its desired placement.

this is kinda hard to tell with very limited public info. But, this is what I can interpret it. The Yaoki rover is completely hidden, but you can see the shadow as well as the illuminated regolith on the top left corner.

A more non-oblique look at #IM2 Athena. This view you can clearly see the shadow casted by Athena.

First images of @Int_Machines #IM2 Athena from @LRO_NASA Athena did land in a tiny crater than I originally imagined. Its more up north than the low illuminated areas I originally thought. Athena is at 84.7906° S, 29.1957°E but there is a minor small uncertainty in that location.

Chandra (tckb) @moonandbeyond.blog · 06/03/2025
Average Solar illumination and Earth Visibility seems pretty good as long as #IM2 Athena kept with-in intended target location. Given the 😶🙃 I speculate Athena went far off its target and toppled - whatever that means this time on

2/3 PSR is SP_852190_0338200 (PSR3) is the next significant PSR in the Leibnitz Beta plateau with around 6Km2 area at center −85.218, 33.820.

Here's my initial assessment of Intuitive Machines’ IM-2 mission Athena Landing site. There are at least 2 significant PSR's (<1Km2) (PSR1, PSR2 ) within 3km radius around the planned -84.78°, 29.13°E target landing site. There are other smaller PSR's within the 3Km radius and the next...(1/3)

#SoaDex crafts are 15m now, next up 3m then final docking. The final docking is expected to be in about an hour when it’s visible over India. There will not any live streaming but I expect a docking video on successful completion

#SpaDex update. Spacecrafts are about 230m apart and likely closing in for next stages of 15 and 3 meters before they start final docking sequence. Docking expected to happen tomorrow with very slim to no chance of live streaming. I expect an announcement with a docking video, well hopefully🤞🏻
