Beginning #mechtober talking about my love for Classic BT and painting up the last of my Raven Alliance Beta Galaxy trinary, at least the mechs. I plan on expanding the mercenary attaché as well as adding a battle armor and vehicle support star. Why? I have no idea, these aren't Nova Cats!

Yeah generally if I have a high HP character like a knight or even Dragoon I can get it done in the mid 20s, I think the lowest win I got during 4JF was 17.

I've done some pretty low 4JF runs in the past. Unfortunately without jobs that can totally abuse the mechanics you're usually at the mercy of "what level do I have to be to eat Almaghest". Knights and Shell casters tend to be the most awesomest.

I thought in CBT a stand of infantry was 25-30 infantrymen depending on equipment load? That'd be a combat platoon, so nine of those would put you up to a reinforced company. You'd want at least couple that for a battalion. Sorry, mil grognard at times. Those look really good tho :D

Yup. A backline threat screened by something sufficiently dangerous that you can't answer the cheap gauss units is one of the strongest ways to play right now. I'm curious if the smoke changes will make unga bunga too strong though.

Got a new player into #battletech today. I love how this game ends up grabbing people, the detail and the tactical depth combined with the hilarious moments. The game ended with the last two mechs on the ground - but mine not getting back up. Good fight. <3

Ray is a good hearted young man with a habit of selling himself WAY short, and despite being a bit over the top, he's actually the best MechWarrior in the company. John wants to see the kid do well, and knows he could earn a berth with a real outfit like the Kell Hounds any day now.

Yeah that's why I was a bit confused. The pauldrons and the carbine made me think Imperial but it's been a long time and I didn't remember if they had any specific unit or regional camouflage patterns
