To be in a coalition, you have to bring people to your side. When they tell you “I will not join your coalition if you continue to hold these policies”, and you continue to hold those policies, you do not get to have them join your coalition. A 6th grader would instantly understand this.

It *could* have been a referendum on Star Wars specifically and nostalgia in general. You put your childhood in a tree, you light the tree on fire, you get it down. Fans had some trouble with the “lighting the tree on fire” part so everyone panicked and yadda yadda American fascism.

Bar with financial issues had a mask mandate they wanted to lift on Saturdays. Certain patrons had opinions, leading to online comments and a 3+hr Zoom meeting. The focus is on the community’s reaction to the mask mandate itself but people have opinions about everything here.
