She low-key looks like a vampire to me. The dress in the artwork looks nice, but doesn't seem to translate well to the doll

I... Don't hate her? Sure, it would be better if she had a more colorful outfit like the OG Totally Hair, and a more unique head sculpt wouldn't hurt; but I like the hair and the idea behind it. I also think some of the designers' ideas get watered down by budget cuts.

To be fair, my first thought was Rogue from X-Men, but I like this comparison better

I agree, imagine her in sunset colors.

She looks so good! I did like G1 Venus, but I feel she had some sort of "derpy" look and was very hard to photograph. Her G3 version looks like they've fixed that and it's so much better

His Barbie dolls were some of the best

40$ for the whole bundle would be fine, but TBH, they don't look they're worth more than 15$ each.

I think I just need to know what do you do for a living and if there's a position free at that company 😂

A little life update: The situation at my current job is becoming unbearable. At this point, I've decided to quit in September. Wish me luck.

I guess some people like to have the complete collection and would buy even the dolls they're not 100% sold on. It could also happen that you buy a doll thinking you will love it and when it arrives it doesn't really speak to you. This has happened to me

Yesterday I started working on a new prototype (which is a variant of the first one). Let's see is this feels sturdier than the first one #dollsky #miniature

I like articulation in dolls, but the way they've done it looks strange

010

Monster Crafts @monstercrafts.bsky.social · 15/07/2026

The sturdiness problem could probably get fixed by using more layers of cereal box to make the pieces thicker, but also I think if I use a different type of glue it would dry harder and feel more like a board. Design wise, I could also make the legs wider. Thoughts?

Prototype done. The design looks cool, but I've found some issues: 1) It's made out of cereal boxes, and the layers kept unglueing. I don't know if it's the heat or the fact that I used a new glue. 2) It doesn't feel very sturdy. This could work great in balsa wood. #miniature

Is the rusty in the room with us? I thought this was done by Mattel!

I started with Photoshop (it came installed in a computer I bought) and moved to Gimp because I'm poor

Monster Crafts @monstercrafts.bsky.social · 06/07/2026

I don't blame you. Back when we were students the latest version was probably Photoshop CS2 😂. You might remember also Freehand, that was great and disappeared when Adobe bought Macromedia

I don't like the outfits, but the dolls themselves are cute. But in general I'm not a fan of gowns and pouffy dresses

Fixed! There was something grouped in the original SVG file. #cricut #cricutmaker #inkscape #maker

So I opened the file I created with Inkscape on Cricut and the legs are fine, but for some reason the seat and the back rest are smaller. They look fine on the original SVG file though. Advice? #dollsky #miniature #cricut
