I'm not overly fond of that style of advancement, it can favour players who are spotlight hogs and tend to make skill rolls more frequently. In our games the GM lets us roll for advancement at the end of every session which is usually 3-4 hrs. He tends to give heroic abilities every 3 session or so.

I've not used GW paints for ages now but interested to see how these work. Luckily, it looks like my local board game café is putting on some demos.

Still working on the blogging backlog with no end in sight! In September '23 I did only 4 first plays and played a total of 30 different games. A relatively quiet month! The breakdown can be seen at: www.3spellcastersandadwarf.com/gaming-blog/... #BoardGames #BoardGaming #TabletopGaming

I didn't realise I'd spent so long filming! Here's a photo of the ivy along the whole fence which it pulled down years ago but is now the thing keeping it up!

The neighbours have I think a ivy plant that grows over our fence. There must be 30-40 or more bees, wasps and some bumblebees pollinating it. I took a short video of it, it's a little hard to see what's going on but I got a good shot of a bumblebee at the end. #Bee #Bumblebee #Wasp #Pollination

That's a lot better, particularly when compared to a non undercoated one. Not perfect but doesn't need to be for undercoating. #miniatures #miniaturepainting #minipainting

Hmmm, that didn't go as I'd have hoped. Just realised I've never undercoated in white before and I've barely used an airbrush either. So I don't know if it's bad airbrushing, bad undercoating or what white undercoating looks like? #miniatures #miniaturepainting #minipainting
