School reunion of old geezers (but apparently my age) making my afternoon beer break a noisy affair and stealing my bar staff.

Seeing this a lot today. So here we go. Apparently there’s a 45 in there and side 4 is opposite side 1

#5DebutAlbumsFinal I’m stuck with 13 and I can’t get rid of anyone.

Mark @monkeystrawhat.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

Kind of like if David Lynch and Benny Hill co-directed it.

#LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched House. Will rewatch. Planned craziness. Weird soundtrack. Sad and goofy.

Mark @monkeystrawhat.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

#5DebutAlbumsFinal Got to be 30 years since I played this.

Mark @monkeystrawhat.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

If you cleared it twice then that was it. Machine in my local pub. I could clear it left handed pretty often.

#5DebutAlbumsFinal Realizing I’m not going to get to hear all 100. So giving my very beat up copy of this a spin.

Mark @monkeystrawhat.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

#5DebutAlbumsFinal Oasis I’ve never played this before. So there are a few songs I’ve not heard. Not sure how I would have reacted back then. Heavier and janglier than I expected.

Mark @monkeystrawhat.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

#5DebutAlbumsFinal Portishead Ok. This was interesting and deserves some more plays. Still not my thing but it got my attention

Mark @monkeystrawhat.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

#5DebutAlbumsFinal Weezer Another band I know lots of the songs. Easily recognizable sound. Prob not something I’d play a lot.

Mark @monkeystrawhat.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

#5DebutAlbumsFinal Alanis Morissette Never played this but all the tracks are familiar. Won’t be in my 5.

FBI want more beastiality, necromancy and flagellation. Are they flogging a dead horse ?

Mark @monkeystrawhat.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

#5DebutAlbumsFinal Tricky Fell asleep while listening to this. But it had some listenable tunes. Prob won’t revisit.

Mark @monkeystrawhat.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

#5DebutAlbumsFinal DJ Shadow. Not for me. Alright as background music.

Mark @monkeystrawhat.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

#5DebutAlbumsFinal Air Most of this isn’t for me. I like New Star in the Sky. Sounded like something Acker Bilk might do if you took away his clarinet and gave him a synth.

Mark @monkeystrawhat.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

#5DebutAlbumsFinal Boards of Canada Might make it onto my music to read to rotation. Warm electronic sounds.

Mark @monkeystrawhat.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

#5DebutAlbumsFinal Badly Drawn Boy First ever play. A pleasant laid back set of songs. Will revisit

Mark @monkeystrawhat.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

#5DebutAlbumsFinal Doves Another one to come back to. First ever listen and I like the feel. The opening was very atmospheric.

#5DebutAlbumsFinal The Strokes. First ever hearing this. Love it. Very 70s feel to it.

Mark @monkeystrawhat.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

#5DebutAlbumsFinal Interpol Some solid tunes. Second time I’ve heard this. Deserves some more plays but I have more albums to get to.

#5DebutAlbumsFinal Arcade Fire I’ve tried to like these guys. I don’t dislike them but none of it really makes me want to play it again.

Mark @monkeystrawhat.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

#5DebutAlbumsFinal The Killers Don’t think I listened to the album before. I know the usual songs. Fine album but probably won’t be in my 5.

Mark @monkeystrawhat.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

#5DebutAlbumsFinal Arctic Monkeys I thought this was going to be my first play that I owned. But the CD box was empty. No idea where it might have gone. Still love this album

Mark @monkeystrawhat.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

#5DebutAlbumsFinal Burial - Burial If this was on at Luv-a-Fair way back when, I would have loved it. Old me respects it but not something I would play much. SpaceApe is great.

Mark @monkeystrawhat.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

#5DebutAlbumsFinal First time listening to Fleet Foxes. Will be giving it another listen as it’s a lovely set of tunes.

Mark @monkeystrawhat.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

#5DebutAlbumsFinal Listening to Fontaines DC - Dogrel 2019 was when I started listening to music again after a long time not paying attention. This was a favourite that year.

My son, rum and coke drinker. No coke. Alright Dad give me one of your beers Hazy IPA. Too much orange Cranberry Sour. It’s just juice Wee Heavy. Raisin aftertaste ruins it Bourbon Barrel aged stout. This is awful tasting syrup. Picks up Hazy can. Thanos voice. Perhaps I treated you too harshly.

Mark @monkeystrawhat.bsky.social · 09/08/2026

Tonight’s beer Superflux - Coconuts IPA 7% A hazy finished over a lot of coconut. I am a sucker for coconut in beers so this is fantastic for me.
