Matt McCartney @monkeyroo.bsky.social · 02/06/2026These three were just too good to pass up - they are also a touch too big to take anywhere... they have to be three of the biggest books out there and worth every penny. 010
Matt McCartney @monkeyroo.bsky.social · 27/05/202617 months in active production and JINGLE SQUAD is now deep into the inks on chapter 5, with one more chapter to go. Enjoy this epic splash page by @rorydraws4.bsky.social 031
Matt McCartney @monkeyroo.bsky.social · 07/05/2026Not a perfect example, but pretty nice and just can't get enough of how great this guy looks in robot mode.... Vintage Toys always make the day better 😀 020

Matt McCartney @monkeyroo.bsky.social · 13/04/2026After almost three years since they were last in the wild all NINE chapters of ANGEL EYES are now live on the old YouTube - So, if demonic, end of the world motion comics are your thing check them out. www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQxq...youtube.comAngel Eyes Chapter One: The AssassinYouTube video by Matt McCartney 000
Matt McCartney @monkeyroo.bsky.social · 09/04/2026And now some vintage toy action - not the super best example quality wise, but with a bit of cleaning and a few spare parts will be complete and since I never owned one back in the 80's very happy to have it now.... 000
Matt McCartney @monkeyroo.bsky.social · 08/04/2026Finally a comic book post 😃 - began reading these as TPB’s a few years ago but never finished - I remember loving the story and art - so best way to read start to finish - Omnibus… 000
Matt McCartney @monkeyroo.bsky.social · 04/04/2026Lovely Toy for Easter... I think this was the first major update to the Falcon model after 1978 (The POTF2 reissue was just a paint job update I think). And this one is minty as well - lovely 000
Matt McCartney @monkeyroo.bsky.social · 28/03/2026Never owned this one back in the day - nice pack - love the Ewoks. 010
Matt McCartney @monkeyroo.bsky.social · 20/03/2026It's been a beat, but JINGLE SQUAD production is still rolling - some technical changes to be made on Chapter 4, but Chapter 5 is up and running now, @andylanning.bsky.social , @robjoneswrites.bsky.social & @rorydraws4.bsky.social are getting the squad on as we head into the home stretch. 023
Matt McCartney @monkeyroo.bsky.social · 20/03/2026Couldn't resist this completely unnecessary purchase of probably the best SW toy from back in the day: All clean, All complete and bought from a real bricks and mortar shop - which was nice for a change - Got to love a Falcon... 000
Matt McCartney @monkeyroo.bsky.social · 15/03/2026The only problem with this book is that it will force me to by the other two books in the series that complete the animated compendiums… 000
Matt McCartney @monkeyroo.bsky.social · 10/03/2026Not sure my cat is as impressed by this book as I am... UK Transformers Compendium. Again, I have the IDW reprints from a few years back, but just couldn't resist, will look cracking next to the 2 US ones on the shelf. 020
Matt McCartney @monkeyroo.bsky.social · 10/03/2026One of my biggest regrets as a toy collector was selling these back in the day. But after almost 15 years I own them again (although the upside down Anakin might need a look 😀) - Can't explain why I like them so much - but I do... 000
Matt McCartney @monkeyroo.bsky.social · 04/03/2026And along came Sentinal Prime. Not as cool as Nemesis Prime in terms of the colours, but since the completest in me would get annoyed at not having a full run, so this was something of a predictable purchase. 000
Matt McCartney @monkeyroo.bsky.social · 03/03/2026I love the innovation & IMO the Smart Brick has been engineered brilliantly. I think the set designers have created a fun good looking build, and as cool as the laster & hyperdrive sounds are (& they are), this still feels a little light - Interesting to see what Non-IP sets and updates bring. 000
Matt McCartney @monkeyroo.bsky.social · 01/03/2026So, this one can only be classified as an impulse purchase, I had said, only mainline Missing Link figures - but it is pretty cool and I suppose, technically the first Decepticon figure in the line. 010
Matt McCartney @monkeyroo.bsky.social · 27/02/2026With the impending (albeit several months away) start of a new series of M.A.S.K comics couldn't resist revisiting the originals - still great today and such amazing covers 000
Matt McCartney @monkeyroo.bsky.social · 26/02/2026Never even knew this 'variant' existed back in 2005. It still amazes me, that after more than 30 years of collecting SW figures I still find new things... 010
Matt McCartney @monkeyroo.bsky.social · 21/02/2026What evil CEO doesn't travel in their own pink helicopter while wrapped up in a Polar Bear sink coat.... @rorydraws4.bsky.social / @andylanning.bsky.social & @robjoneswrites.bsky.social smashing it on JINGLE SQUAD. 121
Matt McCartney @monkeyroo.bsky.social · 20/02/2026OK - So this is super exciting. Loved these comics and toys back in the 80's. Was so disappointed with how the IDW revival went a few years back, so I hope Skybound/Image give these guys a real good crack - can't wait to see how they rock up in the Energon Universe... 000
Matt McCartney @monkeyroo.bsky.social · 20/02/2026Things are really going red in JINGLE SQUAD as the action ramps up and S*&% Gets Real for the Squad - Awesome colours from @rorydraws4.bsky.social 011
Matt McCartney @monkeyroo.bsky.social · 16/02/2026Where there is one, there's the other... so they say. Never owned this pair back in the day so very happy to have them now. 010
Matt McCartney @monkeyroo.bsky.social · 16/02/2026This fella is a real cracker and none too easy to find these days. 000
Matt McCartney @monkeyroo.bsky.social · 16/02/2026And back to London we go - the colours for JINGLE SQUAD chapter 4 are coming in thick and fast now from @rorydraws4.bsky.social. Roughly 10 more pages to go and then over to @robjoneswrites.bsky.social to work his magic while @andylanning.bsky.social & I crack on with Chapter 5 script edits... 033
Matt McCartney @monkeyroo.bsky.social · 13/02/2026So this one really needs to come with its own Money Bin to keep it in - What a book - and with a Lucky Dime in the slip case as well 😀 000
Matt McCartney @monkeyroo.bsky.social · 12/02/2026Well - Thats all the Loyal Subjects MASK (main line) together at last... 010
Matt McCartney @monkeyroo.bsky.social · 11/02/2026I was beginning to think these would never turn up - can't even remember how long ago the KS campaign closed (2024 I think). But ignoring the drama around getting these out - out they are - and to be honest they are cracking - going to look fantastic next the Dark Wing Duck volumes 😀 001
Matt McCartney @monkeyroo.bsky.social · 08/02/2026And then there was colour - @rorydraws4.bsky.social has done a cracking job with this crazy panel and now over to @robjoneswrites.bsky.social to bring it home. Easily one of my favourite JINGLE SQUAD panels so far... 022
Matt McCartney @monkeyroo.bsky.social · 07/02/2026Another day another toy - the box itself suffers from the same use of materials issue as the special edition (and all of wave 1 I assume, mine haven't arrived yet) - but the box art is cracking, takes me right back to the 80's.... 000
Matt McCartney @monkeyroo.bsky.social · 06/02/2026The Weekend began (early) with a little Toy & Comic combo from Mr Postman today. 000
Matt McCartney @monkeyroo.bsky.social · 05/02/2026So one of the fun things about JINGLE SQUAD is that we have hidden squirrels throughout the book - which means readers get to find them, actually between them @andylanning.bsky.social @rorydraws4.bsky.social & @robjoneswrites.bsky.social have hidden lots of little easter eggs throughout the book... 011
Matt McCartney @monkeyroo.bsky.social · 05/02/2026Brought this guy back in the day - sold him - regretted that - now bought again (and not at 2004 prices.... 😀) - a classic collectors cycle. 010
Matt McCartney @monkeyroo.bsky.social · 04/02/2026So this is how Toy Collectors get through the mid-week hump 😀 010
Matt McCartney @monkeyroo.bsky.social · 03/02/2026JINGLE SQUAD Chapter 4 coloured pages are starting to drop, love this stage in the process. As usual @rorydraws4.bsky.social @robjoneswrites.bsky.social & @andylanning.bsky.social are bringing their A-Game. It's a big chapter with a lot of design work in it so a way to yet, but very exciting 😀 122
