He clearly does that thing where he knows 50 years sounds like a long time ago, but fails to do the maths that 1976 Britain culturally wasn't that different from today. Of course, given he was only born 6 years later, its probably difficult for him to remember that accurately.

I can ensure Curtis they are not saying this in my UK. Nazi gets thrown around alot, especially online, but people will get into a meltdown if you call them a Nazi, even the far right thugs, because they don't see it. Hitler still disgusts the majority of UK society. No one is comparing themselves.

Some Greens feel Polanski has shown a complete lack of leadership on the motion, saying he was happy to see an influx of new members but then did nothing to make sure they stuck with Green values. In fairness, the leader has few powers. But they do have influence - and Polanski has not exerted any.

Middle aged & I remember her exceptional charity work, but there's where it ends for me. Can imagine for those who met her as it'll stay with them for life, but I cant understand the continued obsession nor belief other than a niche pool of people actually care longer than a 2 minute read.

No charges have been made so not in the interest of the investigation to release names. Should lesser charges like attempted robbery be made later we'll probably be told the names at a national level still just because of the headlines its grabbed if it turms out nothing to do with threats etc.

Just seems these ones, probably just because of the arrests, get more focus. All too often you get people thinking they are being arrested for protesting about situation in Palestine rather than for the ridiculous nature of holding a sign about a banned group. And makes both causes messy for support

Yes ish, I get it. But having your 1 or 2 guaranteed spots for promotion taken by a club heavily backed financially isn't exactly great for fans in those leagues. Great for TV fans. As a fan from the Championship its hard to take the size of clubs relegated from PL in recent years for that reason

We recently had 4 positions on the job market. Over 300 applications in 48 hrs. The recruitment team ran them through AI to find how many were 'built' by AI to narrow down our list. We hired 4 from the non AI CV applicants. 3 left after completing training. I'm not sure what lesson we've learned.

Long term though, did Scottish football really benefit? I'd argue not. Biggest thing that changed that FA was the rise of Gretna (their Wrexham without Disney+) What the PL has to consider is who's next, you already mentioned Castle, Chelsea, Forest could one day need similar actions.

I get it i really do. Firm believer this has to be the big reset and from here on punishments have to be sorted before a season starts. But I do disagree on the point some want to see a big successful club burned for it, not for fairness just because they casual tv fans of football not supporters

I'm also a strong advocate that no honours or titles should be awarded to runner ups, thats just stupidity from anyone demanding that. Maybe you can remove an honour put please for the love of football dont say team a and team b won, we all know that is no honour for those clubs

Can't repeat the Rangers scenario. It did nothing for the value of football and actually made it unfairly competitive for lower leagues until they got back. As an EFL supporter last thing I want see is a major club dominate and rip apart teams week on week.

Not saying undeserved, but i reckon the outcome will still split many. Either not far enough or too harsh. Personally I think the punishment should be just enough to create European battle but spread over a number of seasons. Say -15 for x seasons rather than demoted or huge one hit

Its been a debacle & played out way too long, in part due to City's approach. Some of those charges were clear cut, & could have carried sanctions long ago. I do feel both cos of how long to resolve, & that mentality of taking a successful club down people want unreasonable consequences

Clearly there were supporters long before 2008 I get your point, but you're slightly missing City existed long before the money, & many of those supporters are very much alive (the point I was making). There will be many gutted what might happen next. Try not to lose sight of that if you can.
