Permission to use them was one of the requirements for the submission prosses and I created everything using blender, so I was able to make any adjustments if needed. So far, the response has been positive from anyone involved.

The mongrels act more like a star in Mario than a Pokémon that battles, with each one being based on a real dog that I had people send in online. The custom characters are a fun way for people to try and include their dog if they were unable to take part in the dog submissions.

Most the dogs start with the same body mesh I created, then I will take parts from the most similar dogs to make adjustments then unwrap and paint them using blender.
