Whoa, the Ocean Dub cast is coming back for Zero!?!?

Feels weird seeing Agnes take on a different hair color compared to the gradiented pink, but i'm quickly warming up to her Zero look. Especially for her pilot suit.

I respect the hell out of the 3DCG mecha in Gundam Hathaway and what it sets out to do, But it just does not hold a candle to the stuff SEED's been doing.

Really cackling of the idea of the GOUF Ignited Custom. Like yeah, SEED has been taking its designs from 0079. But now, lets go for 08th MS Team. Not a bad design either (Definitely Junichi Akutsu's work), bringing back the ZAFT crest, while incorporating the Custom's signature shield/gatling gun.

If SEED Freedom focused on Kira and Lacus' development then it looks like Zero will be leaving that focus to Shinn and Lunamaria capping off what was left off at the end of Destiny. I'm all in for it. Gotten used to the new SEED animation style, but WHEW the mecha looks even better than last time.

Seen that pic floating around for a while, but it looks like there's hard confirmation that SEED Freedom Zero is getting a NA release date in February. (Wondering if this means the film's coming out next month or December? Or are we having a simultaneous release with Japan. We'll see later today.)

Been keeping tabs with this Sunrise 50th Anni project and starting with this series, its finally getting to my favourite stretch of shows.

2202

Yay, a brand new Escaflowne illustration for the Sunrise 50th anniversary project by Hirotoshi Sano, who was a key animator for the series.

So i've learned that the animator behind these cuts is also the same person whose worked on those Gundam Hathaway in the 90s style fan animations. Sweet.

The EOS announcement for Code Geass Lost Stories led me to check out the opening for the game which I have never seen and lo and behold, instantly recognized that some of the mecha cuts were done by Kentaro Azuma, one of the main animator for Gundam SEED's HD Remaster.

The HGUC Hamma Hamma being priced at 4400 yen seems fairly reasonable if it can pull off a gimmick like this:

0112

Seeing the universal standard two peg backpack port that you normally see on almost every HG gunpla kit ever on the Gundam Helix's setting art makes me cackle.

25213

Bringing out the classic OG tunes as a nice little baton-pass.

052

Rayearth has been a cultural blindspot for me, so i'm glad that the remake is helping in covering that ground. 1st ep mostly established stuff and included a neat throwback to the OG at the end. This seems like it'll be a pleasant adventure. Thought Umi was the funniest of the three so far.

It was SO worth it putting up this stitch of the Rune Gods together.

070

Definitely looks like the handiwork of the SSSS Gridman mecha staff.

I've gotta clear Yamato off someday soon before Hideaki Anno's spin/followup comes suite. The first series seems like an easy start, but its the compilation films, remakes and the sequels that make it feel daunting. Interested in Takashi Yamazaki's standalone live-action adaptation first though.

270

Its head over heels with the Metal Robot Spirits Cal-Re.A. Bonus points for the Foundation emblem inclusion.

One thing i've been hearing players fear about in Ace Combat 8's gameplay apparently:

More Hiroki Mutaguchi Mecha art for the Rayearth Remake...

THE DOG TAIL PERKING UP LMAOOOOOOOO

Apothecary Diaries is back. I kinda miss when the show used to air on Saturdays...

051

Gundam Zero has a spine...that's at least one unique bit of design language it has.

Rising Freedom Gundam Radiance Grandeur is a mouthful. But, seeing the Proud Defender on the Rising Freedom looks nice. Makes me wish that the Mighty Strike Freedom adopted a brand new color scheme when it swapped backpacks in the film instead of keeping its base colors.

0125

A mobile suit sized chainsaw cord for your chainsaw sword is a crazy as hell idea, I love it. Pretty easy pose to leave the HG Bau Bahlam in.

Oh, this is a surprise. HG Graze Kai Custom III/Ryusei-Go III! Kind of impressive that the Graze Frame has been used for this long.
