A day in Rome. A 400 year old church where I lit candles and prayed for the well being of the world. Then the colosseum, Palatine Hill, and the Roman forum, ancient history reminding me that not much has changed. But it was a gorgeous day.

Lunch: cooked red lentils with white quinoa, diced carrots and a bay leaf. In separate pan cooked black rice. Sauteed zucchini and celery in olive oil. Tossed all together with a dressing of olive oil and nice white vinegar with a bit of dijon mustard and some seasoning, feta cheese.

112 where I live in AZ. Dinner in the air fryer: pizza for kids. Hot dogs in the cast iron skillet with tater tots in air fryer plus coleslaw. Summer meals are a challenge.

My dog always eats lying down. He’s only 2. Been doing this since we adopted him when he was 4 months old. He’s a nut. But my old dog with hip dysplasia thanks him because he taught her that eating this way is just fine.
