Stop scrolling and post two characters who bring you happiness
Bernadette Peters as Dot and Mandy Patinkin as George in a promotional still from Sunday in the Park With George (1984). He looks poignantly into the distance whilst he rests her head on his, looking into the foreground with pursed lips and a wistful, melancholic air.

@arcadiaberger.bsky.social Really dreadfully sorry to bother you, but are you the same Arcadia Berger referenced in this post? (Only I'm something of a Jenny Everywhere fanatic and am naturally interested on variations &c.)

Poem.
Musk

On the bus. The man in front of me
Smells of musk. Sticky-sweet smell in my nose
And I remember it on the back of my hand
Rubbing into my hair, guided by my father
And we would go down the hill, past the park,
Up and down and up and down
All the way to the mosque. And in later years
It was my tokayah’s smell,
Sticky-sweet smell and sticky-sweet, sticky-sad smile
Tired in the dark flat narrow alleyways of Woking
On the way to the mosque as the birds were singing
Before he died. And the trains would go by
And he would call the aqama
And we would pray, and I promised I would go
Back there and back there every time I visited
And I haven’t. Now there’s a woman
Who has cancer. “Oh no!” say the two girls sitting beside her.
“Oh yes!” she says, and smiles and tells them
To take each day as they come,
To seize the day, to let nobody get them down
She worked with homeless people; she asks
The girls what they want to be. One doesn’t know
One wants to be an actor
I envy their easy smiles And the laughing old lady with cancer
Who was too tired to walk to the end of the pier
But had some cheesecake instead
And I envy their normalness
And think “how funny it must be
To always be happy.” But their happiness
Trickles through the roaring bus;
Their laughs sneak through the wall of
Sticky-sweet, sticky-sad musk over the aisle
To me where I sit all by myself
And when I get off, swing myself down
Along the bright-pink poles holding up the sky
I’m grinning like the morning sun.

My #JennyEverywhereDay story! Unable to shift, disconnected from her other selves, Jenny Everywhere knows only one thing: she will find whoever did this to her, and there will be a reckoning. But those in this place who move in the shadows have other ideas… mollywarton.neocities.org/ad-infinitum
A black and white drawing. Jenny Everywhere, gripping the hem of her t-shirt and looking somewhat angry, stands opposite a woman far taller than her, with a regal bearing and elegant stance. The woman looks down at her, with a hand underneath Jenny's chin to force her to look up.

In case I didn't get it the first time.
Two identical posts one after the other on my dash from two different users, both a reaction of a meme with a man saying "I know writers who use subtext and they're all cowards" in response to the same news article saying "JUST IN: Tesla Cyberstuck explodes at the entrace to Trump Internation Hotel in Las Vegas", with accompanying video of said explosion, which is quite dramatic-looking, I must say.

Item b: One letter, from one Steven W. Moffat, addressed to one League Against the Defamation of Puppies. The contents are self-explanatory.
A typed letter in a cursive font reading: "1 December 2024

Registered Universe 62838291872 (Magwyr Designation)

My dear Mark,

I am sorry to hear you are so unwell. I hope you and the kids get better soon, and also that you are able to watch my new episode of Doctor Who, Joy to the World, which will be airing at Christmas on BBC1 and iPlayer. Don’t miss it. Seriously. I would really hate for anything to happen to you. Anything worse than already has, that is. I mean, it’s pretty rotten luck to get influenza, mumps, measles, whooping cough, coronavirus, bat flu, horse flu, chicken flu, koala flu, lesser-spotted Armenian horsely flu, mudskipper flu, right whale flu, zygon flu, Froxbanian flu, table flu, and
rabbit flu all at once, but there are worse things that could happen, you know. And I’m sure you wouldn’t want to find out what they are, would you? So just you make sure to tune into BBC1 on December 25th, 2024, wouldn’t you? It’s my big moment, I should hate for you to miss it.

Anyhow, do send my love to your husband, I am hearing good things about him. Is it true he won the Annual International Barking Contest back in August? Really incredible stuff. Do send him my love. But not in a romantic way, I’m straight. Very definitely straight. I couldn’t be straighter. Straight as a pencil, I am. There’s nothing going on between Russell and I. Don’t believe anyone who says otherwise. It’s all lies! Russell and I aren’t going out, haha. He isn’t even my type! I am not gay. Not gay at all.""As to why I don’t come and visit you, well, you see, it always gives me a headache whenever I go over to your universe. You see, every noise that is made in a universe has a note, but every note is actually a chord of fundamental notes. That’s why they’re so attracted to major chords in my universe. Anyhow. In your universe, the fundamental harmonies are completely different, so everything just sounds so very wrong when I visit, I just can’t bear it. Don’t question why this gives me a headache, it just does. It’s not like a have a really small brain or anything.

I am sorry about the party. I really didn’t mean to make such a fool of you. I thought the dress would bring out your hair. And the wig, well, who doesn’t like a wig, eh? Wigs are cool. Everybody should wear wigs. As to the make-up, well… Well, I can’t actually excuse that, that was foolish of me, I admit. You have to admit you looked rather fetching, though. I could have kissed you, you looked so fucking gorgeous. I’m not gay, though.

Anyhow, I am sorry to hear that the League Against the Defamation of Puppies isn’t amenable to either Jenny Everywhere or Xavier Llewellyn attending the annual Christmas Party, due to the recent events, I was going to show everybody all my lovely new episode, Joy to the World, which is going to be on BBC1 and iPlayer from 25 December 2024, do make sure to watch it. Personally, I think both of the little gits are guilty, but I know Russell thinks otherwise.

Much love,
Steven"

Now, I have consulted one Mr Frederick Sherlock Sheds, as Mr Holmes declined to, in his phrasing "enable such idiotic frivolities", and he has collated the following evidence: Item a: One dog biscuit. Found upon the personage of Ms Jennifer Everywhere, of the 1511th Universe, on 1 December 2024.
A dog biscuit. May contain peanuts or cross-hatching.
