You gotta focus on having fun not being good, that stuff takes time but if you have fun you end up drawing a lot anyways, which will inevitably make you good anyways if you are actually trying every time you draw to get that much closer to what you can imagine

Its self expression for a reason, allow yourself to be selfish as much as possible on every canvas. I find when I lose sight of this my art feels sooo repetitive and boring even my art for other people I know it'll come out good when im thinking "okay but this would look cuter or hotter like this"

In a way, one of my older sona's was also compared to other peoples, and they'd react incredibly negatively to others pointing out the similarity, so thus I've also felt disconnected from any attempts to make new sona's too... It's kinda my own fault for being as emotional as I am about my creations

Sog was based on how I actually look IRL and I always felt really bothered that other people co-opted him, or copied him, or said 'literally me' I know I always do simple designs so in a way it's easy to project onto but I dunno if i'll ever feel better about that sorta thing happening to me
