mca is easiest - his is the lowest and most gravelly (“i wanna say somethin that’s long overdue…”) ad rock is the highest and most energetic (“i can’t stand it i know they planned it”). mike d is similar in pitch to ad rock but more strained and nasal (“mario c likes to keep it clean”)

at an annual meeting where i see a lot of people i knew when i practiced law. guy walks up to me and notes my uncommon last name, asks if i am related to my deadname self. i say i used to be them, but i’m max now. guy says “that’s great!” and aggressively calls me “man” throughout out conversation

i think the screen shot describes a feeling, not the life circumstance. somebody can feel helpless then do something to make themselves less helpless (and feel less helpless). the screen shot doesn’t say what they did after writing it. when i feel that way, i try to take action and be less helpless

for sure, i agree with you there! but i don’t think dismissing anyone who expresses feeling very heavy emotions about the very heavy situation we’re in is helpful. “it’s just depression everything is fine”-ing ourself into inaction is no better than “we’re fucked we’re all gonna die why do anything”

i think that sucks too! however, that isn’t me. i think things are pretty fucked right now but i don’t think we’re doomed, and i think being aware of what’s going on and open hearted and empathetic about it is helpful in fixing things. it has certainly helped me get out there and do the work!
