Whatever shit you're in, just shine!

Bright yellow flowers blooming through an asphalt surface next to a chain link fence with privacy slats brighten a drab scene.

Not all trails are easy, but they always lead somewhere.

Photo features an arid rocky Mojave Desert landscape with a difficult two-track road disappearing into a rolling, stark landscape spotted with creosote bushes. The colors are varous shades of brown and sparse green. In the distance are hills and mountains with a blue sky above and a few white, puffy clouds.

It would be short for macaroni if you have to add "and cheese". 💫

No matter what tosses you about you can still make your mark.

A clump of grass with heavy seed heads is surrounded by outwardly radiating circular marks in the sand where the wind has blown and twisted it around its base.

I like the character of this old L-shape bar at Pioneertown, California. As an old movie set prop, it is sadly devoid of authentic and lively spirits.

A dusty old west bar is a prop for movie sets. The light colored hardwood backbar has a central mirror and cabinets with frosted glass doors at each end. It is surrounded by Western movie posters and memorabilia along with deer horns on the wall. Dust covered whiskey bottles are placed on the single shelf. In the foreground is the old smooth-worn bar top made of two hardwood planks.

A hardwood backbar reaches from floor to ceiling with basic cabinets below hidden by closed wooden doors with vertical slats. The bar is framed by rounded carved columns at each end up to a wide wooden top with 8 mirrors across for an old-fashioned ornate charm. The bottom shelf has two tall oil lamps with glass globes at each side. The shelf has dusty whiskey bottles and a central wooden crate with the words "Honest Owen" painted in white capital letters. The crate contains several clear bottles filled with green liquid. Above the main mirror is another shelf with more dust covered green and brown bottles, a stuffed great horned owl, and a round clear glass container with something inside. The mirror reflects an open door and window.

Giving you a listen on the Player FM app. Thanks for breaking this down. Too bad I was focused on other things and missed all the spooky opportunities when I was stationed at Scott AFB.

Who TF are these people? They have been remarkably absent post presidency unlike the one they want to honor.

At least with cardboard recycling now more commonplace I'm finding it easier to throw away a good box. But I still have trouble parting with a GREAT box! 🤣

I love tales of haunted spaces and I love bars. The Pioneer Saloon in Goodsprings, Nevada, is the best of both and where I'll be spending some afterlife time if I have anything to say about it! Old Man Liver whiskey is the perfect spirit to toast the Spirits here!

A rustic bar made of deep red cherry wood with the classic full mirrored back is well stocked with spirits, which are backlit with red Christmas lights. In the foreground is a well worn bar top for patrons to gather and imbibe in their favorite libation.

A photo of the 750 ml small batch Old Man Liver whiskey. The green label shows a cowboy silhouette holding a guitar in gold. "Old Man" is centered in bold white letters with "Liver" in red letters below. American Whiskey 90 proof 45% ALC/vol 750 ML Small Batch complete the label.

Grow where you're planted and live your best life ... with the tenacity of a desert flower.

Shows a desert landscape with sparse clumps of greenery and purple and yellow flowers growing from the sand. A rocky looking slab, deadwood, and brown hills provide a stark contrast to the living plants. Above are clouds in a blue sky.

Blue Moon looks so distinctive! One time the bartender sat a glass in front of me and I said, "That's not Blue Moon." A short debate later and voila, she discovered the lines were wrong.
