If you feel -worse- it depends on the dose - too low and you're giving yourself menopause and your emotions WILL suck. But your life isn't permanently altered, detransitioning is easy enough (though breast growth is a thing).

If I may: The worst thing that can happen, really, is that you spot an issue during a checkup, and then address the thing. Most HRT methods have alternatives to mitigate their risks, though patches and injections tend to be less risky for 30+ trans people.

I've ended up going with a MUD, but instead, when it comes time to build community, add a bridge in place to keep the asynchronous, low-effort discord connection at least aware of the goings on in the MUD.

In exchange however, the world becomes more casual, less personal. We lose some control of how the server gets managed, the system feels less immersive, and I lose a lot more in terms of ambient gameplay effects.

The big advantage of discord is having a community that requires zero buy-in. You already have the app, play is asynchronous so you can't miss out. Bots -can- handle most gameplay elements, just spin up a thread and start the encounter.

I think there are unique design considerations in the adult space specifically for making engaging, interesting content that titillates but keeps you invested in the content itself. It's _interesting_, and it gets downplayed too often.
