The core book, and two supplements are definitely some of my favorite content. Such depth and so many hooks for good storytelling. Just grab the core turn to a town and read and the story builds itself. I’m excited to see if I can convince a player to play a ghost from Dig Your Own Grave.

Thanks for the confirmation. I’ve actually written about get people to play RPGs other than 5-E and you are absolutely right, a good genre or story trumps mechanics every time.

I still disagree. I’ve had people clamoring to play many non 5-e games when I’ve suggested them. For my crowd it’s a genre, not a system that governs interest. But you go ahead and believe that everything else is defunct. Enjoy your 5-e world.

Nope. Call of Cthulhu is still one of the biggest games in Japan. Don’t forget several Free League games including Dragonbane and Forbidden lands, and the One Ring. Plus all the Modiphius games.
