New video footage shows a US Tomahawk missile hitting an IRGC facility in Minab, Iran, on Feb 28, showing for the first time that the US struck the area. The footage also shows smoke already rising from the vicinity of the girls’ school, where 175 people were reportedly killed, including children.

You may have seen scary headlines linking melatonin and a higher risk of heart failure. But when you look closely at the research behind those headlines, it’s much less alarming. Let’s break down what the study actually did, and what it didn’t. 🧵

YVES ENGLER HASNT EVEN APPLIED TO RUN FOR NDP LEADERSHIP??????????? And he’s been accepting donations while implying he applied but hasn’t been approved yet??? Omg 🤦‍♀️ Article here: www.thestar.com/politics/fed...

TORONTO STAR article except reads:

“"It has recently come to my attention that Mr. Yves Engler has been sharing with the media that he has not yet been approved ... to stand as an official leadership candidate. I would like to clarify that we are not in receipt of an application from Mr. Engler, and as such he has no current standing within the leadership contest," chief electoral officer Éric Hébert-Daly said.”

...it is now incurring further risk to hit Western Ukraine because it thinks the EU will equivocate and knows the US is unlikely to care. 2. Russia is actively testing the waters of a broader escalation, and monitoring exactly how NATO responds to its drone strikes.

There's two ways to look at this: 1. Since the start of the war, Russia has largely avoided hitting Western Ukraine, precisely because of the risk that its drones/missiles could stray into NATO airspace and risk starting a conversation about Article 5. As part of Moscow's effort to escalate...

In Russia's air raid on Ukraine tonight, about 15 of its attack drones have entered Polish airspace, per Ukrainian channels. There's been a few instances of these drones crashing in Poland to date, but this appears to be the most significant Russian intrusion into NATO airspace yet.

NDP leadership hopeful Yves Engler went on JACKSON HINKLE's podcast 🤮 Hinkle is a huge spreader of disinformation, particularly pro-Russia disinformation, has called the LGBTQ movement “pedophile ridden,” and calls himself a “MAGA communist.” This is...a choice.

Update on where has @grok
been & what happened on July 8th.

First off, we deeply apologize for the horrific behavior that many experienced.

Our intent for @grok
is to provide helpful and truthful responses to users. After careful investigation, we discovered the root cause was an update to a code path upstream of the @grok
bot. This is independent of the underlying language model that powers @grok
.

The update was active for 16 hrs, in which deprecated code made @grok
susceptible to existing X user posts; including when such posts contained extremist views.

We have removed that deprecated code and refactored the entire system to prevent further abuse. The new system prompt for the @grok
bot will be published to our public github repo.

We thank all of the X users who provided feedback to identify the abuse of @grok
functionality, helping us advance our mission of developing helpful and truth-seeking artificial intelligence.
