The pov of it being from awareness of Reds future statements is plausible, but in the latter it could very much be likely it was like this because lancey had a bigger image, therefore more blank impressions. That is why I believe there was really no point in explaining lanceys perspective,

A long while after this situation of how she treated Red, she still served nothing and left. Lancey WAS influenced and im not denying that, but Red had to take the burden of this lifelong and it treated as a neutral perspective is such a fuck you to him after Lancey literally let him get chastised
