Commission are open again! Due to MASSIVE miscommunication by my real estate I have a bill of $300 and raising. My water bill has been changed how it's charged from my actual water use to a percentage of rent. So from $20 every 3 month to $30 a month. That's almost 5 times. ko-fi.com/bumblekitty

I had to stop making and selling all my crochet plants because not only did people think I was buying them online for cheaper, but I had some customers then question everything I make & sell, because of how popular crochet plants are online. Markets, expos & conventions are really hard on everyone

010

Mofu-Kitty || indefinite hiatus @mofukitty.bsky.social · 05/12/2024

It's more that for a lot of people attending & vendor at these artist markets we can't always tell if the other vendors are doing dropping shipping style shops. And 3D printing is one of the hardest ones to tell if they are doing this if they only sell those types of items that everyone has

010

Mofu-Kitty || indefinite hiatus @mofukitty.bsky.social · 05/12/2024

I think it's more finding your own style. I love 3D printed things, but I will admit if I see vendors pushing those items that the big 3D printing factors push out, I'm less liking to look. Same goes for any hand made goods. If it's the same stuff I see ALL the time i'm not going to look

010

Mofu-Kitty || indefinite hiatus @mofukitty.bsky.social · 05/12/2024

As an artist I also have to figure out what sells at markets & events. Crochet has become huge on temu/shein so a lot of us try to make those same items and educate people that it is all handmade. We are all suffering with online places selling sweat shop items for cheaper.

Mofu-Kitty || indefinite hiatus @mofukitty.bsky.social · 05/12/2024

I want to see the really cool intricate items that can only be made by 3D printing, painting & adding so many details by hand. those are the items that should be at the artist markets not the ones that have become oversaturated. I love 3d printing of all types and I do see it as an art form.

020

Mofu-Kitty || indefinite hiatus @mofukitty.bsky.social · 05/12/2024

I know how much effort it takes to learn 3D printing. Even if you are purchasing files to print you still gotta learn an entire new machine & software. However some items that you see everywhere like the fidgets creatures that have become oversaturated maybe leave that for a not artist market.

030

Mofu-Kitty || indefinite hiatus @mofukitty.bsky.social · 05/12/2024

So there is some artist market discourse happening on TIKTOK. I have no spoons to make a video so imma post here instead. The discourse is about 3D printed items at artist markets. I think there is a time and a place for them, however if they are just the over produced items that is different.

Gotta love when chronic illness flare ups made you wonder if you have the spicy flu. Negative for now but was at a family thing last week where a bunch of people have tested positive.

020

Mofu-Kitty || indefinite hiatus @mofukitty.bsky.social · 22/11/2024

Finally I go to the main check out to pay for the rest of my items, I go to turn into a check out and BANG, someone turns their trolley into me and pushes infront of me AGAIN. All I can say if the staff have been very apologetic for other idiots and very kind while I use the scooter.

020

Mofu-Kitty || indefinite hiatus @mofukitty.bsky.social · 22/11/2024

Decided to go through the alcohol section at Costco for the first time. Wait in line like you are meant to be. Hand over my items, scanned my card. I go to move scooter up to the card reader, ANOTHER lady just walks directly infront of moving scooter to ask "this is were I pay?" BITCH WAIT IN LINE!

010

Mofu-Kitty || indefinite hiatus @mofukitty.bsky.social · 22/11/2024

That tester was promptly taken by another lady who rushed over from the other side of the isle as the worker was handing it to me. "Oh I didn't see you waiting there" LADY IM ON A SCOOTER HOW DO YOU NOW SEE ME

Mofu-Kitty || indefinite hiatus @mofukitty.bsky.social · 22/11/2024

Is today fuck disabled people and push Infront of them, run into their scooter day? Seriously abled body people looking down on me, belittling me as they push infront of me "oh there is another there, don't worry"
