You guys are acting as if Jax's main inspo, Ted from IHNMAIMS, didn't end up the same way exactly because he was incapable of changing and trusting others. Not every story is a hero's journey, where the main character learn their lesson. Some just show our ugly side, and they're beautiful like that.
