Gretchen Wood @modinegunch.bsky.social · 08/01/2026but while WWIII ignites, the war on woke here is brewing what I and many others see as inevitable civil war. 000
Gretchen Wood @modinegunch.bsky.social · 08/01/2026I just threw it out there because I'm revolted. I wasn't targeting a UK audience, hence no UK tags. 000
Gretchen Wood @modinegunch.bsky.social · 08/01/2026I've acknowledged how different they are and I still find it repellent. To desensitize is to kowtow to the regime. My post is about sharing how freaking dangerous it has become. 200
Gretchen Wood @modinegunch.bsky.social · 08/01/2026ICE armed officers are barely trained, mostly pardoned Jan 6 rioters, many of them Proud Boys, a white nationalist group. I'm not exaggerating to compare them to Gestapo. 100
Gretchen Wood @modinegunch.bsky.social · 08/01/2026I'm not trying to reignite any efforts to inform me about the UK meaning. I only want to share why it's such a serious term here. Woke started here, so did the term woke nonsense. It's serious business here. This tragedy is entirely the result of the war on woke. Not enough characters to expl 000
Gretchen Wood @modinegunch.bsky.social · 08/01/2026This is what the war on "woke nonsense" looks like. #ICEOutNow 230

Gretchen Wood @modinegunch.bsky.social · 06/01/2026Very wise! I hadn't thought about that aspect, but you're 100% right. 010
Gretchen Wood @modinegunch.bsky.social · 06/01/2026Perhaps if you had exercised some curiosity to find out why I reacted so strongly, you might not be so judgmental. Think about that. 000
Gretchen Wood @modinegunch.bsky.social · 06/01/2026Mine, too! I often mull over how some curiosity can yield a whole lot of positivity. 010
Gretchen Wood @modinegunch.bsky.social · 06/01/2026Recent events have left me mulling over the nature of curiosity, and its role in conflict resolution and mutual understanding. It started with a quote, "Be curious, not judgmental." Although it's often discredited to Whitman, it resonates just the same. 250
Gretchen Wood @modinegunch.bsky.social · 06/01/2026Thank for saying that. Trying to put it behind me. You're one of good'uns. 120
Gretchen Wood @modinegunch.bsky.social · 06/01/2026Just like Dusty Springfield, I be wishing and hoping. 110
Gretchen Wood @modinegunch.bsky.social · 06/01/2026Watch Kimmel's monologue last night? Apparently Toddler said he'd go away when Kimmel's rating beat his, and after the dismal Kennedy Ctr Honors ratings, it's time to say buh-bye, Donnie! 🤣 110
Gretchen Wood @modinegunch.bsky.social · 06/01/2026Oh darlin', you're helping more than you know. ❤️ 😘 030
Gretchen Wood @modinegunch.bsky.social · 06/01/2026Oh hon! I so very much appreciate you! Yeah, yesterday was hard, but folks like you chiming in help lots. This community has meant the world to me. Trying forget the disappointments and focus on all you good'uns. 😘 140
Gretchen Wood @modinegunch.bsky.social · 06/01/2026Dang, hope ya feel better soon! Didn't even dawn on me that Eng is your 2nd language. 🙂 💯 how writing sometimes gets meaning garbled when dealing with contentious subjects. You and me, we cool. 010
Gretchen Wood @modinegunch.bsky.social · 06/01/2026That must've been a huge rush of relief! With this pitch, you're gonna shine! 020
Gretchen Wood @modinegunch.bsky.social · 06/01/2026Thank you, hon. And I was kinda rough on you. You showed curiosity and caring. I was wrong not to better acknowledge your concern. x 110
Gretchen Wood @modinegunch.bsky.social · 06/01/2026I'm glad you see it that way. I've learned my lessons and moved past the original issue. Today taking stock on who showed up for me, and who asked questions instead of just informing me. And quite frankly, wondering how much I'll be involved in this community going forward. 100
Gretchen Wood @modinegunch.bsky.social · 06/01/2026Then maybe UK football isn't for me. You can repeat that explanation all day, but I've already taken in that information. My issue is the lack of curiosity from others as to why I'd react so strongly. I showed a lot of grace yesterday for very little reciprocal curiosity. I'm done. 200
Gretchen Wood @modinegunch.bsky.social · 06/01/2026So right. The fruitful discussion was why I didn't just delete the post. 🙂 040
Gretchen Wood @modinegunch.bsky.social · 06/01/2026Darlin' I'm beginning to see who I have to be grateful for. ❤️ 120
Gretchen Wood @modinegunch.bsky.social · 06/01/2026They sure can! during these scary times, people will snap and we gotta have each other's backs. ❤️ 010
Gretchen Wood @modinegunch.bsky.social · 06/01/2026Been starving, but afraid to eat. Having a celery chaser. 120
Gretchen Wood @modinegunch.bsky.social · 06/01/2026No, not their battle, but their response to me showed that they're getting some whitewashed news. If they had said, I see why you'd react that way, but it's our playground, fair enough, but mostly just it's our playground. Been called names, even told never to post here again. 240
Gretchen Wood @modinegunch.bsky.social · 06/01/2026You the beez kneez! Got them, pasted them into a document I'll start working through tomorrow. X 020
Gretchen Wood @modinegunch.bsky.social · 06/01/2026I hope so. Some have ghosting me. But I learned that UK media isn't reporting just how deeply the battle against WN is ruining good people's lives from all strata of society. 260
Gretchen Wood @modinegunch.bsky.social · 06/01/2026I still feel terrible. I wee'd in everyone else's pleasant distraction. 150
Gretchen Wood @modinegunch.bsky.social · 06/01/2026If you know of any sources please DM me. The best thing is just not eating, which I haven't all day. Making some miso ginger egg soup for dinner. 220
Gretchen Wood @modinegunch.bsky.social · 06/01/2026Thank you, love. Been bottling it up for a while, and poor Rhys caught the brunt. 020
Gretchen Wood @modinegunch.bsky.social · 06/01/2026Thanks hon. Been bottling it up for while. I feel terrible about being so disruptive. 030
Gretchen Wood @modinegunch.bsky.social · 06/01/2026Thank you, love. I feel really bad about bringing this into the group. I just lost it. 140
