Writing and planning shots for Modern Mouse. New year, back to the real grind! LFG

Just a reminder, Tiny Tim had both Polio and Tuberculosis and if a billionaire didn't buy him a Christmas dinner, he'd be dead. Take your kids to get vaccinated...or at the very least befriend someone so rich that they have the ability to cure disease with food.

This past summer I bonded with my girlfriend's daughter by taking her to a screening of The Princess Bride with thousands on the lawn of the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. She was blown away by it and I was thrilled with the experience we shared. Unnecessarily gone. RIP Rob Reiner.

Watching the Paul Reubens doc and it's crazy that they made this documentary and had no idea about his cancer. Meanwhile he understood exactly what he was doing!

So Kevin Smith got ownership of Dogma after the Weinstein company had the rights to it for the last two decades or so. He is now re-releasing it in theaters. I have never seen it. I feel like this is something I should do. Yay or Nay?

According to my mom, the first movie I saw in a theater was a re-release of The Fox and the Hound. I was small enough to where the seat folded in on me. So when I saw that The New Beverly in Hollywood was showing the film this Saturday, I had to buy a ticket. See ya this weekend!

Today was my first day off work in over a month and I spent it being super productive. Cleaned house, filled my fridge, and wrote/shot/edited videos for Modern Mouse, the first scripted material I've made since last May. I have to be at work at 7am but I'm hyped and can't sleep.

This video is excellent and I couldn't have put it into words better than this. Great research and analysis. Also fair to everyone. Don't get defensive. Just watch. You aren't getting made fun of if you love Disney.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. If a job asks you to work a six day week, get out! I'm doing my best to do just that. I'm constantly exhausted and burnt out. It also doesn't help that I've been writing and hosting trivia on my days off.

It will always blow my mind that people in the United States grew up with Sesame Street, Mr. Rogers, The Lorax, Fraggle Rock, Blue Clues, etc... and yet so many people do the complete opposite of what they grew up learning. Empathy, kindness, community, and love. Who are we?

I'm learning about this far too late, but Adam Kreutinger is the first person to reach out to me and not only sponsor me, but be someone who supported my work in puppet/muppet history. Truly a champion of the artform. I love you and your family with all my heart! RIP my friend!

How Jaws Changed American Cinema

Jaws celebrates it's 50th anniversary in 2025. It changed American Cinema and it's still being felt, but how and why?

Miley Cyrus might have the best music video of the 2000s (Party in the USA) definitely the 2010s (Wrecking Ball) and is a contender for the best of the 2020s (Flowers). That's crazy considering I feel like she's still a young star with her best years ahead of her.

It's weird that humans sent a dog into space right? We just strapped a dog to a rocket and hoped for a heartwarming story instead of an absolute insane situation where we paid millions of dollars collectively to see if a dog would explode if you send it high enough in the air?

What's funny is how often I get comments wondering why I essentially didn't break down every detail and recap it. I just assume that if you are watching my video, I'm either adding additional value to something you already watched, or I'm hyping you to watch it. My video shouldn't replace a viewing.

I know a lot of people are talking about this year's Oscars lineup looking weak... but the animation category is stellar. Wallace & Gromit is probably the weakest of the 5 and it's getting praise after being on everyone's radar for months. That's how good the category is.

If you hate how things in the real world feel, it's important to realize that the best form of action is to get out and do something positive in the real world. Volunteer. Meet with neighbors. Make friends. Small acts of kindness. It's important that we exist in the real world and not just online.

I know this sounds weak, I know it. But kindness is one of the few things we carry that can make a difference for each other. We can’t undo all this hate, but we can still make life a little easier for others.
