We spend most of our waking hours as critics. The voice in our head has an opinion about everything, from the profound to the mundane, and it rarely stops talking. We only truly experience beauty when the voice goes quiet. For us, the hush falls when we enter this space: buff.ly/nogSbni

"Things are still challenging. But every day when I visit the site, my heart swells with enthusiasm and gratitude... I'm confident that we won't give up. As long as creators keep making this art and art lovers keep supporting this platform, we’re not going anywhere." -David Bollt

"But every time I thought I was ready to walk away, something would happen to make me press on. New artists shared jaw-dropping art. New fans sent positive messages of affirmation. The community was thriving and, a little at a time, there was just enough support to keep going."

"... institutions shunned and treated us like porn. We got kicked off social media (many times). We struggled to advertise. My mind filled with dark thoughts. Was I making the biggest mistake of my life? Was it all just a stupid, delusional dream? My confidence evaporated."

"When I first created Model Society I felt confident (I had no idea what I was getting into.) Building the original site took much longer than expected. When we finally launched, we'd destroyed the budget. For the next several years, I used my savings to keep things going."

Artists reveal not just what they see, but what they feel. They distill a direct experience of beauty into images. It's thanks to artists that we get a glimpse into the heart of beauty- and into the beauty of humanity. It's thanks to artists that Model Society exists: buff.ly/WrnZqZh

Human beauty is embedded in our evolution. It moves us to feel wonder, curiosity, devotion, and creativity. Beauty is at the heart of our evolutionary journey. If you're ready for the journey, we know the perfect starting point: buff.ly/WrnZqZh

Only art can communicate what it means to be moved, breath-taken, floored, touched, or awestruck by a vision of human beauty. When you look at these works, what moves in you? Does some ancient part of you sing in natural resonance?

We can’t explain beauty. We are seized by it. Our appreciation of human beauty is primal and immediate. It’s woven into the fabric of our nature. It's the same fabric that gives Model Society our purpose: buff.ly/WrnZqZh

It's fair to argue that any naked snapshot is art. It's also fair to argue that porn is art. So we're not arguing about "what is art" - we all know art is subjective. We are preserving a space for a particular kind of art; a space for human beauty to flourish free from societal debasement.

Although much of the artwork is nude, we all know that the nudity is not the point. Model Society is about the spirit and intention of the work – not the nudity. Challenge yourselves to see through the surface and into the soul: buff.ly/WrnZqZh

We're dedicated to artwork that celebrates the beauty of the human form, respects the dignity of the human spirit, portrays the model as a whole person (and not a sexual object), and is created with intention, skill, and craftsmanship. These are our values. This is how we hold them: buff.ly/WrnZqZh
