After the 2024 election, the pastor said some people were upset about the election results. Somebody got to him - sermons after that were stories about his boyhood and fishing. We switched churches in 2025. Where we go now they talk about justice every week and practical ways to love neighbors.

I haven’t been on very often this summer. We’ve had a lot of family visiting, a little traveling, dealing with a wretched drought and low lake water levels. The news has been disgusting (for the most part - I get enraged and will reply, then regret I did). I do still enjoy seeing Post friends.

At Kroger today most of Taylor Farms products were marked 50% off with no takers. People were picking up organic mixes and carefully looking at the codes. Added Taylor Farms to my growing list of companies that will never see a dime from me.

I can see why a lawyer with integrity (as I can tell by your posts you are) would be disheartened by the lack of morals and disregard for the law by these lawyers. After working in the environmental cleanup field for 20+ years, I am horrified by the rollback of protections. Praying for justice.

I admit to being disheartened lately. Everything we’ve done (contacting reps, protesting, boycotting) has had no effect. Our votes are tossed in the trash. Republicans and Supreme Court are shameless and their agenda seems designed to punish people they deem “unworthy” and reward corruption.
