Français! Deutsch! Big language update. We've had so many requests about more languages, and today we're adding French and German. This is a good opportunity to play the demo in your native language! 😉 Steam: buff.ly/OFiA36R Itch: buff.ly/McTgKHq - Jaromír #pixelart #adventure

We're really happy with how this cute little squirrel turned out. What’s got it so excited? Either there are nuts nearby, or it heard about the demo coming out in just a few weeks. buff.ly/BHFYrNf #pointandclick #2d #indiegame #pixelart

Hey fans! We're working on the #demo full time, in order to bring it to you crisp and flawless. I know we originally optimistically promised the demo in August, which is already past us... But, better to give you something worthy than half baked goods, I believe! Full announcement: buff.ly/X8q9vy5

We made some early drafts of game characters. What do you think? Our artist Tomáš created these to spark our imagination, and to have some variety to choose from. I personally like the first two - the "kind-hearted guy" and the fisherman. buff.ly/Ia4xkPQ #pointandclick #2d #indiegame #pixelart

In our upcoming dark fantasy adventure game, Adelina’s room changes with the hours. Bright and purposeful by day, a warm sanctuary by night. #pointandclick #2d #indiegame #pixelart #darkfantasy buff.ly/bpaXZ6F

One of the reasons we decided to use a modern engine like Unity for our pixel art adventure game is its dynamic lighting system. You will be able to see it in action next month when we release the demo :) buff.ly/wTRymUo

Tobias and Juno just went into the forest to gather some wood and be home before dark. But their plans are about to change in ways they never expected. Find out more in the demo – coming next month. buff.ly/wTRymUo

Here’s a look at how the village in our game shifts between the buzz of everyday life and the quiet mystery of night. Our artist Tomas says that once he starts drawing the rest flows naturally. You just follow the feeling as the world takes shape. buff.ly/0JaX0Ko

In Two Realms: Whispers from the Rift, danger lurks far beyond the relatively safe walls of the Citadel. These elite warriors are handpicked to serve as the mage’s personal protectors. They are loyal, disciplined, and prepared for almost anything the outside world may hold. buff.ly/QZZkoE1

The cow lazily chews hay in the sun, chickens peck at the dirt, and old Hammond chops fish, preparing his famous fish sticks for the day ahead. This humble village is where Tobias’s story begins. A place worth fighting for, when the darkness descends. buff.ly/mHws2Mq

We've been hard at work on the demo we promised to bring you in September! We're pushing to deliver on schedule, and so far everything is on track. In the meantime, we've also improved the game visuals and refreshed the logo – let us know what you think!

Adelina’s home is filled with purpose – bundles of herbs hang from beams, tinctures line the shelves, and every corner hums with care. This is where Tobias often finds rest when visiting his sister in the city. Adelina left the village to help others, and her intention shows. buff.ly/TSlnGYf

In this short clip, Tobias puts on his tunic before heading outside. It’s a small nod to one of our all-time favorites: Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers. It also reflects the kind of atmospheric storytelling and attention to detail that we love and aim to bring into our game.

The best thing about making a pixel art game with today’s technology is the ability to create custom effects. We spent quite some time working on the lighting system, where the torch looks and behaves this way, and we love how it came out. buff.ly/hh6jaBP

Just because the world is dark doesn't mean there's no room for a bit of charm. Yes, that's a chicken. A cute, slightly clueless, totally huggable pixel art chicken. 🐔 And it's just as much a part of Two Realms: Whispers from the Rift as the damp sewers and eerie forests.

MOD42 Studio @mod42.bsky.social · 27/05/2025

One gloomy morning, Tobias awakens in this very room to find his fireplace cold and its warmth quickly fading. What you see here holds special significance – it's the very first scene in Two Realms: Whispers from the Rift, where Tobias’s (and the player's) journey begins.

The Citadel’s library, the biggest in the whole kingdom. Lit by the crescent moon, still and calm. Yet, our hero needs to come here just then, when the light is dim, to seek the forbidden knowledge he desperately needs. Follow us for news, or sign-up for our newsletter at mod42.cz.
