i'm hosting a url festival for edm and stuff! info's here :>

I’m hosting an online music festival, and you can be a part of it
if you want :)

What’s a url fest?
url fests are online music events where (usually pre-recorded) DJ sets and music performances are streamed out to a virtual group. This can happen through Twitch, YouTube, Discord, VRChat, Roblox, Minecraft, or other platforms!
url fests grew especially prominent during 2020 as COVID-19 hit, providing a way for music enthusiasts to enjoy performances virtually. They are traditionally non-profit – ran for free, performed for free, enjoyed for free. WEBPUNKS will be the same!

What’s WEBPUNKS?
WEBPUNKS is an url festival community I started last year, sort of by accident (long story). Its purpose is to give an opportunity for small artists and DJs to share their sets and music with other enthusiasts, emphasizing (but not limited to!) all kinds of genres of electronic music.

When and where is it happening?
WEBPUNKS 2 will be streamed live on Twitch (channel TBA), and all organization, announcements, and community chat occurs on Discord. Link should be in my bio; dm me if you can’t find it!
It should likely occur on Oct. 11 (EST afternoon). If we get an abundance of submissions, we may include Oct. 10! Subject to move around a bit, but it should definitely occur that weekend.

What kind of music is it?
While there’s no strict genre restriction, there’s a lot of EDM. I’ll be doing a multigenre EDM set; we have some heavy dubstep sets; we have some melodic bass sets; we have some hardstyle sets, etc. But if you pull up with an acoustic, rock, ambient, whatever set, we’d still be happy to welcome you!

If you’re interested in helping the fest in other ways, DM me and let me know! Could use a couple moderators. I’m prepared to do a lot of the visual stuff alone (even though I suck), but if anyone’s motivated to lend a hand, I’ll happily work with any contribution haha.

Whether or not you want to be a part of it, I’d love to see you online on Oct. 11 to enjoy some exceptional music from underrated artists and DJs. ^_^
See you!!
