“It’s just for kids” doesn’t mean “Let them be lazy” and I’m tired of people excusing it

Current hyper fixation is in full swing. Friday the 13th is in two days and my local shop just asked if we had any ideas for what we wanted to see on the sheet. I literally asked for characters from my hyper fixation. Oh boy I’m fucked lol

So I’ve finally gotten the keyboard to start writing and now I have a repetitive stress injury in my wrist & shooting pain in my arm. Terrific. I should learn to use my left hand more 🫠

Radio Tave is the latest from Meow Wolf in Houston (the people who did Omega Mart). Basically, it’s an interactive art exhibit with different rooms. This one was more sound based and themed after a radio station. It was a bit too noisy to get all the sound details in so that sucked.

@yamadakenjin.bsky.social and I went to Radio Tave today and I can say one thing: don’t go when there are a lot of loud ass people bc listening is a big part of it and there is a lot to listen to. I hope future MW installments won’t be so sound reliant bc damn.

A diorama of a living room showing a couch, coffee table, coat rack, bunny slippers and wall decorations. There is a raccoon tail poking out the door

A wall painting with words saying “Hot” “Fresh” “Deep Fried Moonlets” with three moonlets covered in brown sauce in the style of Takoyaki on a skewer

A woman in black and white looking through binoculars and is mirrored on the right and left painted on the wall. There is a couch in the front on a checkered pattern floor. There is a table that is two semi circles that have been cut in half formed into an “S” shape with 4 yellow glowing glasses on top. The wall also has a background pattern in pink, red and black.

A green wall with various black symbols and a large sign that says “Radio Tave” in the center.

@yamadakenjin.bsky.social got some computer parts for like $300 off and some pants for $30 off. I got no discounts, but we did go to Radio Tave today. It was… fine. May go back when it’s a 21+ night.

I had a dream and I was woken up by our annoying dryer buzzer I thought was set by @yamadakenjin.bsky.social bc he was home and doing laundry. I got up to switch and then remembered, we have a utility room outside of the house. What the hell did I just hear?

10 years: It would be nice if I could be starting to start thinking about retirement at this point and I may have to start thinking about my parents health status.

I hosted a killer Halloween party in college once. Too bad my co-host killed the vibe by pulling out Mario Party. Mario Party is a cool game and all, but this was a “drink and chill” party. Not usually my vibe, but I’m proud of myself for pulling it off.

- I’ve been to two or three Christian concerts, but I forget the names of the band - A quadruple concert by Fueled by Ramen, but I literally only cared about The Hush Sound - I saw my husband play once, that was lit - I did a few concerts for band. I played flute - Gorillaz

These are my tattoos. I don’t usually post them bc I don’t like them critiqued. I have a single cartilage piercing on my left ear.

A tattoo of Pochita from Chainsaw Man on a left arm located under the elbow

A tattoo of Kuromi with the numbers “1” and “3” on her ears. This is located above the elbow on my left arm.

A tattoo of a crescent moon with two stars to the left and one star behind it. It is located just below my left wrist.

A tattoo of an owl and a tattoo of a raccoon with a scarf and winter hat. Both are located on my right calf just above my ankle. The owl is not colored, the raccoon is.

“UBIK” by Phillip K. Dick It’s under 300 pages or a 5 hour audio listen. It is a bit slow at the start, but once it gets going, it does not stop. It was on Time’s top 100 books of the 20th century for a reason.
