Fingers crossed this time he'll piss off. Trouble is he's get over there and realise he's a tiny fish in a big sea and not get hired and end up coming back again.

I really feel its laziness. Why ring 4 or 5 NZ wholesalers and supermarkets or more when you can make one call and send the whole lot overseas for peanuts. I agree - Force some of NZ produced product to be sold in the local market at controlled pricing.

I think the more negativity the right throw at Chloe the more attention she gets in the media. Combine the poll rating her highly in handling the economy and more people will be thinking maybe their Green vote is valid. #Chloeforfinanceminister

And they keep trying to tell us we have to pay what the internation market will pay. And yet we actually pay more than double. Just lazy sales people taking a large overseas order who take an entire shipment in one quick go so they can go and get a game of golf in for the afternoon.

They should charter a plane with Mike Hosking and all piss off together.

So it’s actually unmanned petrol stations and ev charging, seams the media keep focussing on petrol stations in the headlines. Announce it so the media are less likely to fudge it and focus on the ev charging.

Matt from Ōtautahi @mobiusmat.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
At the very least they should have announced it as "Petrol stations and EV charging stations. Surely even business investors can see investing in petrol stations is a very short term investment.

We would like patients to stop dying in the toilet while waiting to be seen at hospitals but the costs to achieve this are too high - Simeon Brown.

I wish people would understand that their entire city would be a better place to live if its people were majority happy. Happy people with their needs met don't burgle you & don't commit petty crime in desperation. If you have money and pay more tax to a functional government you should be happier.

Dead right - I'd rather there was some regular maintenance on main roads I drive down daily than the five minute delay this motorway will save me when driving out of Christchurch. It's also going to be hard to stop at the woodend bakery on the way out of town.

Matt from Ōtautahi @mobiusmat.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
It should be "Which political party will made us all happier." - I don't give a crap about money at the end of the day as its a means to an end. If I have less of it but have the things I need I'm happy. If I have 100K in the bank but die on a waiting list at hospital that ain't winning.

I spend more time crawling down Brougham St daily than I do going through Woodend when heading north. I can only assume whoever suggested this bypass either lives in Pegasus or hates a business owner in Woodend who is going to lose the through traffic.

Matt from Ōtautahi @mobiusmat.bsky.social · 04/10/2026
Its impossible to take a party seriously that campaigned on roads like the Christchurch woodend bypass motorway now campaining on a promise of delivering it even though they already promised that last election. Their whole campain is Labour/Greens bad and we'll do what we said we'd do 3 years ago

No suprise - It sat me halfway between TPM/Green and Labour which is what I want in government. Labour with a STRONG Green/TPM influence pulling them much further left.

I'm pretty confident that in terms of additional pay going directly back to supermarkets etc it goes in the order of 1) Low income earners 2) Women I hope I'm not being sexist to say women are the first to prioritise providing for their dependents.

He is such a massive dickhead. All the right have this election is "the left are bad - that want your money" because they have nothing and have screwed the country in 3 short years. #ditchthepricksin26 #chloeforfinanceminister

Who would have thought that people might be angry at the major party in our governing coalition who have made 10's of thousands redundant, screwed the economy, killed our health system and screwed with our youth education. He should just count his lucky stars its a hoarding not an electoral office.

I apologise not captioning the photo for vision impared. "A photo of Serey, owner of the woodend bakery, standing beside a bald douche nozzle."

Matt from Ōtautahi @mobiusmat.bsky.social · 04/10/2026
Also that prick Luxon had a photo with the Woodend bakery owner in a recent campaign photo op visit with Doocey - That bakery is going to lose a huge ammount of business without travellers stopping in to grab food for the road.

A bypass of Woodend to Pegasus is stupid. Going north on holiday it'll cut 5 minutes through woodend off only to then get the massive slow down in Amberly. It will kill some Woodend businesses and also typical National promising to do something they'd already promissed to do last election.

Not happy if she’s not PM, Finance minister or DPM in that order.

Naomi loved the Vietnamese salt coffees. She had no idea the amount of sugar due to the condensed milk. Tempted to have a crack at making one.

And you are ok with killing off a few kiwis for the good of lowering government spending on healthcare.

My daughter went to Vietnam and LOVED it. To be fair she was just finished Uni and still lived frugaly and loved that she got nice food and great coffees for a few dollars a day while riding on the back of a motorcycle around the Ha Giang loop which is probably a different scene to yours.

I felt like the country had moved on after the massive protests against the Treaty Principles bill and racists had realised they needed to keep it to themselves and pull their heads in. Then the same day I saw the Hobsons Pledge full page ad and cards mailed out by Julian Batchelor :(

Any sane voter should recognise anything Nick Mowbray wants will be the opposite of what people other than Nick Mowbray need and vote the opposite way. Unfortunately even Matt Horncastle seems to have fan boys so idiots gonna idiot. DISCLAIMER: Horncastle fan boys could be sock puppet accounts.

Can we make OIA requests to see what the human fed into the AI intially?
020
Matt from Ōtautahi @mobiusmat.bsky.social · 02/10/2026
He is possibly correct that it could "write" them but it would still need a team of humans to proof read it and check it before it is bought to cabinet. Still room for error so lets just keep the humans doing it.

I cannot understand how a technology that makes it easier for retailers and easier for end users to make snap purchases without thinking isn't seen as something that benefits the credit card providers and banks and instead is something purchases should pay for.

CATL have acheived 175 wh/kg - Standard LFP cells get 150-185 so they are catching up. They are saying they'll be making packs for 500km range cars. I'm picking some of this is what they hope to acheive commercially based on expensive prototypes but its coming.....
000
Matt from Ōtautahi @mobiusmat.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
Its the sodium based batteries that CATL and BYD are both gearing up for mass production. Handle heat better, last FAR longer without degredation, can fast charge quicker and safer and don't combust. All that and they'll be cheaper per Kw too.

I drive an old second hand leaf and it does everything I need driving around Christchurch for work. I'd almost replace it second hand because I feel there is a LOT of battery tech improvements on the literal edge of commericalisation that is going to change the game.

Hopefully they kick him out of the armed forces even without final conviction. Not the kind of people we want in our armed forces. Kicking someone in the head today, shooting a civilian on a peace keeping mission down the line.

Sorry to admit mine would be short lived pop acts of the 80's like Yazz and Mel & Kim from what ever the pop magazine was in that era that I would buy from time to time. At the time my father had much better taste in than I.

If I had a choice between CGT, Wealth Tax or GST going up I know which two of those I'd chose every day. Likewise I'm sure the Atlas group backed TPU would pick the GST that unfarely affects low income earners more.

Considering the Nat's leaders lack of ability to negotiate a coalition based on the percentage of votes won I'm really not sure they understand how a contract works at all.
