Highly recommend The Mandalorian and Grogu for all ages, even if you are not already a Star Wars fan. You do not need backstory to enjoy this one.

Anyone in Colorado still here instead of Threads? Feels like it was easier finding people I know IRL on Threads but do not like the Meta connection. Anyway, here's some birds, bunnies, squirrels.

Wild rabbits, red winged blackbird, robin, blue jay, grackle, squirrels

Haven't posted here in 6 months b/c it feels like I found more people from the "bird app" on Threads. So here's some birds.

Has anyone used the Blackbird app at restaurants to pay? About to use for first time tonight. Sounds like a crypto/blockchain hopefully not scammy thing in terms of how you earn loyalty points, but also will save restaurants on credit card fees. Started by dude who started Resy and Eater.

Enjoy your life to the extent that when you are at the grocery store the checker asks if you are having a party. 😃

Just read that Young Joni in Minneapolis is closing. 😭 One of my most favorite places in the year I spent working in the Twin Cities.

Didn't appreciate being accosted in the aisles by a rep trying to get me to sign up for a King Soopers credit card. Knock it off.

Put some grapes in the freezer for snacking, others in the fridge, and pickled some. If you haven't had quick-pickled grapes they are fantastic.

Wow. 58. Just saw this on Reddit. I know he had not been performing with the band but didn't expect to hear this.

Hearing some dude in Boulder on Pearl lit people on fire with gasoline and there are some with bad burns. WTF?!

I feel so fortunate to grow up with the OT and to still be watching amazing Star Wars content later in life. Andor season 2 was ridiculously good. (Yes, we're rewatching Rogue One now at 9:30 pm.)

Mo Smith @mo242.bsky.social · 09/05/2025

Anyone on here loving #Andor season two as much as us?

I finally got my MS meds refilled YESTERDAY after months of back and forth. 🤬 Primary copay assistance company for drug company had cyberattack last year, so when we had prescription/PA ironed out, it showed I no longer had co-pay assistance. Had to re-enroll with the drug company after 17 years.

The Williams & Graham airport edition opened up at DIA and it is BRIGHT from the video posted. So don't be expecting the moody, dark Williams & Graham.

What is everyone making for Andor? We are doing Jet Juice a la Oga's in Mythosaur mugs.

Local pizza place was great for a few years then sold & have not been as good. They must have had the one person w/dough knowledge quit since they delivered crap tonight. Owner said their dough was not proofing right & offered to send out another. It was better but spongy & weird (versus crackery).

If you are going to have a table service food and wine event, tell your photographers to chill. I do not want people photographing me shoveling food into my mouth with every course. Take a few pix early and stop.

A lot of guys I work with were doing their taxes today (!) & one guy was completely unaware he needed to file state taxes for a non-resident state after working onsite for our customer in that state. 😐 Our company sends us separate W2s for the states we work in. He has been in consulting for years.

Cracks me up that Star Wars Night is subtitled "disneyland after dark" because Cinemax used to have "after dark" in the 80s and it was their soft core porn movies. 😃 I mean, is Mickey giving us a SHOW or what?!

Hard to believe it has been 30 years since the OKC bombing (as of the 19th). Better half worked a couple of blocks away. Natl Geographic has new doc series following News 9 team, survivors, first responders. Reshowing on Disney + and Hulu.

Found out on another app that people really have FEELINGS about ketchup. I love when people assume their preferences/palate are better than anyone else's when it's just an opinion influenced by the biology of tastebuds and olfactory powers. The world would be boring if everyone were the same.

When we moved here a long time ago we kept hearing recs for Bastien's (also Beaujo's, so it was comparatively a bleak time). I get that old places/dives can be fun, but for me, that sugar steak is really disappointing for people to be regularly telling tourists to make a special trip there.

Made mango salad for lunch today inspired by Taste of History. Added avocado with Tajin & used shallots soaked in white wine vinegar instead of purple onion. Two ripe mangos. Good olive oil, sea salt, pepper, lime juice and zest, feta cheese. Forgot cilantro but it didn't need it.

Feeling really sad (and selfish, I guess) because for all my life as an adult my mom called me often and we had joyous conversations and now she doesn't remember to call. 😭 But maybe that is the universe making it easier on me when eventually I won't be able to talk to her at all.

Was thinking I don't really have a "third space" anymore, but really I don't even have a second since I've been working from home since 2018 other than a few biz trips. Being a regular at a few restaurants used to be my other space but the pandemic changed that.

Worked in another state for 4 days and what a PITA that makes taxes. Have to print and mail a city tax for $1 since in the year 2025 they do not support e-filing. My state refund is $4 and they can't just give me $3 and send $1 to their janky-ass city?

Guys at work have recurring "joke" when someone looks sleepy or has bad hair day on camera: they refer to them as being homeless, sleeping in a tent, etc. I love a good joke & know lighthearted GIFs/memes/jokes can strengthen working relationships, but don't find this to be humorous/appropriate.

This fire in Macedonia is giving me bad flashbacks of seeing video of The Station fire a couple of decades ago. How are people still using pyro indoors?

After replacing every appliance in our house we are now back around to the dryer we last replaced 11 years ago. $450 for a repair versus $800 for a new one. Planned obsolescence sucks.

Appreciate vloggers who actually show food & drinks. It drives me crazy when you see camera focused on faces & they never pan down again while talking about it or cutting into it. You see 2 dudes cutting something just below camera then shoveling into their mouths/chewing. LET US SEE the food!

We've discovered that too many transit stations in Denver areas are not always that walkable to surrounding neighborhoods. Walked to R line near our hotel over dirt field (no sidewalks) to find there was only a gate on the furthest side of the station unless we wanted to jump a fence.

Made beet salad for brunch and not ashamed to use the pre-cooked, vacuum sealed ones. Buffalo mozzarella and crumbled herb goat cheese. Shallot vinaigrette. Toasted some pepitas and pistachios to top it off. Avocados I had weren't ripe yet or they would've gone in too. Easy to make between meetings.

Just read post about a company laying lots of people off including the dude posting and what an "amazing" company it is and how "grateful" he is for how they handled the "transition." WTAF?
